As Grognar sharpens his axe, a soft golden glow spreads across the blade, pulsing with a steady rhythm, like the beating of a heart. Ghostly figures of Viking warriors appear in the air around him, their spectral forms standing proud and unbowed. They chant in low, resonant voices, their words carried by a faint breeze. The ground beneath Grognar trembles subtly, and the scent of salt air and pine forests fills the air. To onlookers, Grognar appears larger than life, his presence commanding and otherworldly, as though the ancient spirit of a Hersir has returned to the world.
This transformation stems from Grognar’s unbreakable connection to his past. As he sharpens his axe, he recalls the camaraderie, loyalty, and sacrifices of his comrades. Each motion honors their memory and rekindles his purpose as a Hersir. This ritual channels their enduring spirits, reminding Grognar—and all who witness it—that his strength lies not just in battle but in the unity and honor of those who fought beside him.
Exert your Mind and spend one minute. You must actively and obviously use His Axe (Specifically his Axe) to activate this Effect.
You transform into Hersir for 30 minutes. You have access to all of your Powers while you are Hersir, and you can use your equipment. Your Battle Scars, Injuries, and physical Liabilities are carried over between forms. Reverting from your Alternate Form cannot cause your existing Injuries to kill you. Instead, you remain Incapacitated.
While transformed, your Charisma is increased by 2 and your Intellect is increased by 2. Your Stress is reduced by 2.
Your body is adapted to Leadership (guide, befriend and lead a group or even a whole army) and War Strategies (Seeing trough strategies in war). You receive +3 dice on non-attack rolls related to Leadership (guide, befriend and lead a group or even a whole army) and War Strategies (Seeing trough strategies in war).
After this Effect ends, you cannot move quicker than a walk (15 feet per Round) for one minute and suffer a -1 dice penalty for an hour.
If you become Incapacitated or suffer an Injury Severity 4 or greater, this Effect ends.
Anyone who has met Clyde in the past, now sees that he is quite a bigger man than he was. Whenever someone would try to stab him, shoot him, or otherwise shove him off the 3rd story, he seems to be able to shrug off some of the lighter stuff. And if it does annoy him enough, he'll just toss you.
Due to a few rare medical conditions, specifically Gigantism and High Bone Mineral Density, Clyde was always on the heavier side, on top of his lifting, and natural physique.
You gain the following benefits at all times.
Your Brawn rating is increased by 1. You may Exert your Mind to automatically gain an Outcome of 5 on any roll that uses Brawn (cannot be used on combat rolls or Effect activations).
You weigh at least 2500 pounds. All rolls to swim, jump, climb, or fly are made at +2 Difficulty. Many vehicles, structures, and similar have trouble supporting your weight and might break or not operate properly.
You also gain the following effects:
Placing one of her heart pendants between her palms, Sage focuses through it on curing herself or another person of disease, poison, and toxin. Tiny black lines move from it along Sage's skin or through the air to whoever she's healing, and gather into any visible sign of what she is cleansing or disappear into the skin if it's not visible. The opaque shadowsmoke conceals any wounds from sight and lets her waking dream awareness reverse the damage that was done. Once she lets go of the pendant, the shadowsmoke turns into tiny black sandlike grains that fall away from the target's body or rises out of their skin and also falls as sand. It then shrinks and fades away.
Sage's healing abilities result from a variety of dream sand (a Sandman related metaphor, or perhaps what inspired stories of the Sandman). She can manifest this from her mind, as part of it is always dreaming even when she isn't aware of it. Visibly, it is often more like smoke when in contact with air, but when either shadowsmoke or sand grains fade, they return harmlessly to the same dream reality Sage derives all her abilities from. If she can dream of healing someone, she can learn to do it in the waking world.
Exert your Mind and spend 15 minutes. Select a Living target within arm's reach. You must actively and obviously use a gold heart pendant to activate this Effect.
You may cure any Non-Alien diseases, toxins, or poisons afflicting your target even if you have not diagnosed or fully understood it. You may cure diseases or poisons even if they are not treatable through modern medicine. During treatment, the malady you are treating does not progress or cause additional Damage or other effects.
People may try to break off a conversation with Terry, but he has a way of coming up with small talk that would be awfully rude to interrupt.
Spend an Action. A number of Animate targets within 50 feet who can perceive you through no greater than your Charisma rating are affected. Audiences or mobs with a singular focus count as one target. This Effect cannot be used unless The target is in a conversation with or trying to break off a conversation with you. Roll Charisma + Culture at Difficulty 6. All affected targets may resist by rolling Mind at Difficulty 7.
If you succeed, the targets will keep their full attention focused on you for as long as you maintain Concentration. They will automatically fail any rolls related to noticing anything other than you.
If you pass from their perception and they are unable to pursue you, the Effect ends. If they can follow you, they must do so for 2 Rounds or the Effect will end. The Effect ends early if the target is Injured or violence occurs nearby.
This does not affect the target’s opinion of you or their mood, and they may take any Actions while affected (including attacking), as long as that action centers on you. Fascinated targets cannot Concentrate.
This Gift cannot have more than 3 Drawbacks, and its Gift Cost is capped at 2.

Lasts 1 minute. Whenever you use your Movement, after all other calculations, the distance you may travel is doubled.
Outside of Combat, any non-Gift, non-movement Actions you attempt take drastically less time to complete, as long as your personal speed is a factor in the Action. Total time reduction is determined by the GM and capped at 90% (executing the Action takes no less than 1/10th the normal time).
While using this Effect, you may carry one other being without affecting your Encumbrance, so long as you maintain contact with them for the duration and they consent or are grappled.

Select one of the following alterations to create out of standard building materials originating at the target:

This alteration lasts one minute but may be prematurely destroyed or altered. Your alterations may be broken through with appropriate tools. Anyone attempting to break through must roll Brawn + a relevant Ability. A cumulative Outcome of 6 across all attempts breaks a hole large enough to move through. See the extended system text for GM guidance on various tools.
