Baldric wields his blades with a tight grip, not letting anyone but himself decide if and when he drops the weapons. With even more intensity, he keeps a keen eye on his enemy and waits for when he can deal a decisive blow to knock them out, this can be with the first strike or even after a long and arduous battle.

Having worked heavily on his weapons, Baldric Anders has tested out and trained excessively with his blades and therefore understands this kind of weapon very well. New blades are quickly understood at a glance and he can quickly accommodate to their heft and weight balance. Furthermore, he knows the angle to twist the blades in order to achieve the right balance between deadly force and a minor grace.

You gain the following benefits as long as you are engaged in combat with Hardlight Blades.

+2 dice to all rolls with Hardlight Blades. You may Defend against firearm attacks from any range using Hardlight Blades.

You also gain the following effects:

  • Finesse: You may limit the Severity of any Injury you inflict or determine a maximum Wound Level to inflict on the target, including Incapacitated. You may also choose to make this Injury properly or improperly stabilized, or to keep it unstabilized.

  • Dismember: If one of your attacks causes a Battle Scar, you may choose for it to be some form of dismemberment, depending on the Severity of the Injury you caused.

  • Reminder: Bonus Damage stacks with Weapon Damage, but does not stack with any other Bonus Damage. Instead, the highest Bonus Damage is used.

  • Riposte: If you successfully Defend against an attack within range of your melee weapon, you deal Damage equal to your excess Outcome plus Weapon Damage back to your attacker.
  • Two Swords are better than One: If you are wielding more than one melee weapon, you may Attack with all using the highest Weapon Damage, plus 1 for each additional weapon. If you reserve a weapon, any Clash or Defend roll you make is -1 Difficulty, and mob penalties are ignored. Maximum +5 Damage from bonus weapons.

Your attacks with Knives deal +1 Bonus Damage. Armor is fully effective against this damage.

  • Blade Breaker: If you successfully Defend against a melee attack or if an opponent is unsuccessful at Defending against your melee attack, you may break your opponent's weapon.
  • Fancy Footwork: You may move your full Dash distance and attack with your Melee weapon in the same Round without penalty. You may also split your movement before and after your attack.

  • Reminder: Bonus Damage stacks with Weapon Damage, but does not stack with any other Bonus Damage. Instead, the highest Bonus Damage is used.
