(Anyone who witnesses you activate this Effect is very likely to be disturbed to see Wire unspools from Pols wrist and creates and anteana array around his head.. You must actively and obviously be using Wire..)

A small hole opens in Pol's forearm and wire starts violently being pulled into his skin. It snakes through his body like a scarab burrowing under his dermis. It continues up to his neck where it expels itself into an antenna array around his head. Dripping with blood and small crackles of electricity it becomes a halo of transmission.

When sending an item Pol's wrist detaches in the same way he uses to digitize things when he stashes them. Then that data is sent along with the message.

Spend an Action. You must actively and obviously use Wire. to activate this Effect.

You may send a single message to all targets which are within a specified range. It cannot be longer or more complex than a couple short sentences.

You must share a common language for your target to understand the message.

You may Exert your Mind to send any physical Object that would fit into a backpack with your message. Takes 1 minute to arrive. Any active traps on the objects are triggered when you attempt to send them, and wards and marks are likewise removed.

Community Send Message Gifts

The aperture opens at a point chosen either consciously or subconsciously by each target, with the default being their left palm.

When sending a physical object with the message, Vein's Tendrils instead move to cover the desired object, swallowing it into the aperture. After about a minute, the object is expelled from the desired target's aperture, which can widen considerably to accommodate even a large payload.

This effect explicitly involves opening a series of minor portals to the Arterial Hive, the living pocket dimension that Vein originates from.

Spend an Action. Select a number of targets up to your Mind rating any distance away from you. You must have specific targets in mind, but you require only an intuitive understanding of them, such as their name, face, or Location.

You open up a line of communication to your targets, and may converse with them as long as one of you maintains Concentration

The conversation will only be perceived by the intended recipient. You must share a common language for your target to understand the message.

This Effect is not obvious, and the only sign you are using an Effect is your left hand making a fist. If someone suspects that an Effect was used, they must roll Perception + Alertness, Difficulty 8 to pick up on your Tell.

This Gift cannot have more than 3 Drawbacks, and its Gift Cost is capped at 2.

  • Receiving a message does not force a target to pay attention to you, and they can feel free to ignore your message if they choose. Depending on the flavor of your Gift, they may or may not be able to return to it and read it later on.
  • Generally you cannot communicate with Contractors who are not in a Contract with you.
