Burglar's Bag "You better put the goods in this bag, see? Otherwise someone's liable to get hurt!"

The power to store things in a hidden stash.
Created by ExampleRobot.

The Thief has a stash in which they can store a few objects. It can be accessed through any burlap sack.

spend a Free Action to activate. You must actively and obviously use a burlap sack to activate this Effect.

You may withdraw an item from your stash, or add an item that is within arm’s reach to your stash. You may store Objects in your stash, each no larger than something which could fit inside a briefcase (15 liters), and you may store up to 3 things at a time.

  • Containers which hold multiple things may count as a single item so long as the things within are generally packaged together. For instance, you may stash a clip full of bullets, a medical kit full of medical supplies, or a box of crackers, but you cannot stash a backpack full of miscellaneous equipment.
  • You may only attempt to store Objects which are free-standing and disconnected from other things. The use of this Effect will not allow you to sever any connections holding an Object in place.
  • The Maximum Object Size parameter is intended to roughly capture the weight / size restriction of items and isn’t intended to restrict shape. GM discretion is advised. A human being is level 4 in the Maximum Object Size parameter.

Because of the girls’ joint life force, Grace cannot be killed by mundane means. Perhaps she never could, or perhaps she hit a benchmark in power that solidified this. The only thing that can truly take her down is the removal of her belt of dead man’s hair, and of course, an exorcism. On the event of her death, Obedience and the rest of the menagerie leave with a heartbroken wail as all of Grace’s injuries, hunger, thirst, and exhaustion that were prevented by her catch up and wither the girl into a bloody husk.

When Grace and Obedience first met, Obedience saved her life. She had been fatally wounded, curled on the pavement and crying in a pathetic anger before her attacker. Neither of them wanted her to die, and that is the reason they joined in the first place. Light filtered through the blue, wraith-like form of her future best friend became some perversion of the light at the end of the tunnel… and she woke up healed.

You gain the following benefits at all times.

If you would take an Injury that would kill you, you don’t die. Instead, you survive in an Incapacitated state. This state lasts for the next hour, at which point you fully return to life.

While Incapacitated, your only weakness is a proper exorcism, and if you take damage from it, you will die. Damage from other sources will still be dealt and can cause Battle Scars, but will never kill you. If your weakness is not immediately intuitive or obvious, attackers may be able to make some sort of knowledge roll to discover it, at GMs discretion. After you return, the Injury that would have killed you, as well as any Injuries sustained while Incapacitated, are healed. Battle scars obtained during this time remain.

With the constant contracts to where he risks literal life and limb is giving him a good flashback to when he crawled through hell and fought in the war, having survived turmoil and pain as he was handee many bad cards in his time to tortured, stabbing, shot, and various near death situations he believes pain is more of a friend than and enemy and embraces it to fuel his goals. Using items of his past to constantly remind of the pain and what of it.

You gain the following benefits at all times. You must actively and obviously be using World War 2 Memorabilia to gain the benefits of this Effect.

Your Body and Mind Penalties are reduced to 0.

The Martial Artist has developed a sixth sense, the Divine Sense, that allows them to see without seeing. Even blind, they feel the world around them, and can act upon that knowledge.

You gain the following benefits at all times.

Your senses are enhanced in the following way.

  • Hearing: You are capable of perceiving physical shapes via sound. You must produce a Ting to “ping” with your echolocation each Round you wish to use it.

works the item with a forge and hammer to increase its usefulness and reinforce the durablility

Take a Severity-1 Injury and spend an hour to activate. Select a non-Alien Device within arm's reach. Roll a single D10 as a critical failure check. If you roll a 1, the Effect fails, and you burns & broken item. You must actively and obviously use forge & smithy to activate this Effect. Can be used on Armor.

For the next day, your target receives 2 extra dice to all actions taken with its intended use. While it is upgraded, the item cannot be destroyed. If it is a piece of Armor, it instead receives half that amount as bonus armor rating, rounded up.

  • "Destroyed" in this context means "prevented from functioning for its primary purpose", so for instance, an upgraded land mine would still explode as normal if triggered, even though it cannot be "destroyed" and a car's windows may still be broken.
  • You can target yourself if you qualify as a valid target by the other requirements.

With their leathery flesh, dense musculature, & rugged constitution, Ghouls are invariably stronger than humans. Specifically, they are far more robust, withstanding injuries that would kill a man outright with ease.

Territorial: Edgar must roll Mind to avoid attacking anyone who enters his space or handles his things without permission (attack will scale with the level of offense - trespassing might only warrant running someone off - theft would almost certainly involve murder).

You gain the following benefits at all times.

Your Brawn rating is increased by 1. You may Exert your Mind to automatically gain an Outcome of 5 on any roll that uses Brawn (cannot be used on combat rolls or Effect activations).

Possession of this Power grants the following Trauma at all times: Territorial.

You also gain the following effects:

  • High Constitution: You gain +2 dice to any Body resistance rolls. Any failed or botched Body rolls will instead give an outcome of 1.
  • Tough: Half your Brawn acts as Armor against all incoming sources of damage.

The Ranger is adept at following their quarry through any terrain. Once they find a recent track, they may focus their will to illuminate the trail of their target. Any part of the target's trail within eyeshot glows a bright, misty green. Even the trails made by vehicles the target was riding in are illuminated.

Exert your Mind to activate. Select a Sapient target at any range. Activation requires possession of the target's fresh tracks, which is used up during the process. At the end of your investigation, roll Perception + Survival at Difficulty 6.

You learn all the following information about your target:

  • You may follow the target's trail, no matter where or how they have traveled, so long as the trail is less than a day old.

The quality and specificity of information gained depends on your Outcome.

Any information you gather is revealed by illuminating the trail in a glowing light and made publicly available.

  • Tracker You are not made instantly aware of where they have been in the past 24 hours; you must follow their trail. You may "happen upon" any trail they have made in the past 24 hours.

Dr. Freeman makes a circular incision around his patient's head and removes the top of their skull. He closes his eyes, places his fingertips directly on the patient's brain, and starts to massage the grey matter. He may then sift through the patient's memories at will. As he does so, little electric arcs crackle between his fingertips and the exposed brain. This procedure is incredibly invasive and thorough but may cause the death of the patient.

Exert your Mind (unless the target has less than 3 Intellect) and spend 2 Actions to activate. Select a Living, Animate target within arm's reach This Effect cannot be used unless you are physically touching the target's brain. Roll a single D10 as a critical failure check. If you roll a 1, the Effect fails, and you destroy the patient's brain. You must maintain Concentration while the effect is active. Roll Charisma + Medicine at Difficulty 6. The target may Resist.

You are able to view your target's memories. The target is unaware their memories are being probed. The Effect ends if the target moves out of range or your Concentration is interrupted.

You may ask specific questions about their memory - “what is their computer password,” “What were they doing at 4:00PM yesterday,” etc - but you cannot get answers to broad, analytical questions like “are they a good person?” or “what are their plans for the future?”

You may read memories that the target has forgotten.

  • You can target yourself if you qualify as a valid target by the other requirements.

Finally, the girls are fusing the way they’ve wanted to since they began Contracting, three and a half years ago. It took Grace’s left eye for them to try this, but the girls are now able to spend a week focusing their energy towards a Battle Scarred area and permanently replacing it with The Spirit’s ghostly flesh. The replaced chunks, eyes, arms, whatever may come, appear just as The Spirit’s: bluish and semi-transparent, but now function just as the respective physical flesh would.

You gain the following benefits at all times.

Any Injury you receive heals quickly, reducing its Severity by one level every three days, starting once it becomes stabilized. Battle Scars caused by your Injuries are also healed when the Injuries that caused them regenerate.

Possession of this Power grants the following Battle Scar: any scars that heal this way leave the flesh in that area bluish and semi-transparent, causing you to be viewed as a freak by most people who see you.

The Blademaster is so attuned to blades that they may manipulate any bladed object at a range simply by willing it. Observers may notice the Blademaster's fingers twitching as they puppet the blade through the air.

Exert your Mind and spend an Action to activate. This Effect cannot be used unless the target object has a cutting edge.

You can interact with things that are within 75 feet without needing to physically touch them or be near them. Lasts for the next hour. Any rolls made for Actions taken in this way use a Mental Strength of 4 in place of your Brawn rating, a Mental Agility of 2 in place of your Dexterity, and otherwise use your own Attributes and Abilities.

Telekinetic actions have the following restrictions and behaviors:

  • Reactions: You cannot use a Reaction telekinetically.
  • Multiple Items: You can only interact with one thing or take one action at a time.
  • Line of Sight: You must be able to visually observe anything you interact with, and any actions that you are taking will end if their target moves out of sight.
  • Unarmed Combat: You cannot deal damage through unarmed combat or thrown objects with this Effect, though you may still grapple with targets.
  • Weapons: You are able to effectively wield weapons with this Effect.
  • Fine Tools: You are otherwise limited to actions that a normal human could do with their bare hands.
  • Maintaining Focus: You must maintain Concentration while taking Actions in this way. If you are Injured or interrupted, you must roll Mind at Difficulty 9 to maintain Concentration. If you fail, you cannot engage in telekinetic actions for the next 6 - Intellect rounds.

  • Any telekinetic actions which interact with Animate targets may require contested rolls at GMs discretion.

The Technician can pour a water-bottle's worth of nanite goop onto a broken machine. Under their careful direction, the nanites go to work restoring the broken object to a functioning state. The goop shimmers and crawls, sparking with blue electricity as it reforms broken parts.

Exert your Mind and spend 10 minutes to activate. Select a Object within arm's reach that is no larger than an SUV. You may target Alien technology, so long as you have an understanding of its intended function. You must use up a water bottle full of nanite goop in order to activate this Effect. More than half the target object must be present in order to begin repairs. Roll Intellect + Technology at Difficulty 6.

If you succeed, your target is repaired back to a functional state. If you fail, you spend the full time working before realizing you cannot repair the target.
