In the wake of my father's retirement from the state customs service, my childhood unfolded amidst the bustling streets of Linz, the capital of Upper Austria. Linz held a special allure for me, remaining my cherished city of choice throughout my life. So profound was my attachment to Linz that I expressed a fervent wish to be laid to rest within its confines when my time came. The passing of my father, Alois Reltih, in 1903 marked a significant turning point in my life. Though our relationship was fraught with tension and discord, my father's foresight ensured the financial stability of our family. Through careful planning, he left behind an ample pension and savings, providing for my mother, Klara, and my siblings in his absence. Despite my complicated feelings towards my father, I remained a dutiful son to my mother, Klara. Her presence in my life was a beacon of comfort and stability, and I held her in the highest regard. However, tragedy struck our household with Klara's passing in 1907, after a prolonged battle with illness. Her loss left an indelible mark on my soul, shaping my beliefs and guiding my path in life.

5. Name and briefly describe three people in your life. One must be the person you are closest to.

When I reflect on my childhood, memories of my friendship with August Kubizek flood back, transporting me to the vibrant streets of Vienna. We were inseparable companions, having journeyed from our humble beginnings in a small Austrian town to the bustling capital city, seeking adventure and opportunity. Together, we explored every corner of Vienna, from its grand palaces to its quaint cafes, forging a bond that seemed unbreakable. Yet, amidst the hustle and bustle of city life, my thoughts often drift to my beloved sister, Paula. Her laughter still echoes in my mind, her presence a constant source of joy and comfort. Though she is no longer by my side, her memory remains etched in my heart, a cherished treasure that time cannot erase. And then there's my mother, the pillar of strength and love in our family. Her unwavering devotion and boundless affection shaped me into the person I am today. Every sacrifice she made, every obstacle she overcame, was driven by her deep love for her children. Though she may be gone, her spirit lives on within me, a guiding light that illuminates my path.

6. How was your childhood? Who were your parents? What were they like? Did you attend school? If so, did you fit in? If not, why not?

I am Reggin, and my childhood was a tumultuous journey, marked by the absence of my mother and the oppressive presence of my father, Alois. Alois was not the kind-hearted figure I wished for; instead, he ruled our home with an iron fist, his towering figure inspiring fear rather than comfort. His smiles held no warmth, only a veiled threat, casting a dark shadow over our household.

My mother, Emily, was my only refuge from his cruelty. Her gentle spirit provided a brief respite from the storm, but her attempts to shield me often ended in bruises and broken promises. Still, amidst the chaos, she whispered words of love and encouragement, reminding me that I was not alone in this world.

Tragedy struck one fateful night when an argument between my parents escalated into violence. The sound of shattered glass and muffled screams echoed through our home, leaving me cowering in fear as the chaos unfolded. When the dust settled, my mother was gone, leaving behind nothing but a shattered family and a void in my heart.

Left alone with my abusive father, I navigated a world filled with pain and fear. School offered no refuge; fitting in felt like an impossible task when the scars of my home life ran so deep. I was an outcast, a shadow lurking in the periphery of my classmates' lives, too broken and afraid to let anyone in.

But even in the darkest of times, there were glimmers of hope. The library became my sanctuary, a place where I could lose myself in stories of bravery and resilience. And through the pages of those books, I found the strength to stand up to my father, to break free from the cycle of abuse that had plagued our family for far too long.

Though my childhood was fraught with pain and sorrow, I emerged from the darkness stronger and more determined than ever before. The memory of my mother's love became my guiding light, leading me towards a future filled with hope and possibility. And though the scars of my past may never fully heal, they serve as a reminder of the resilience that lies within me, a testament to the power of the human spirit to overcome even the most harrowing of circumstances.

7. Have you ever been in love? With who? What happened? If not, why not?

Love was a foreign concept to me during those turbulent years of my childhood. Growing up in the shadow of my father's abuse, the idea of love seemed like a distant dream, something reserved for those lucky enough to escape the darkness that enveloped my world.

As I navigated through adolescence and into young adulthood, I found myself yearning for connection, for someone to share my burdens and soothe the wounds that still lingered from my past. But love remained elusive, slipping through my fingers like grains of sand no matter how desperately I reached for it.

There were moments, fleeting glimpses of what could have been, but they always ended in heartache and disappointment. I was too broken, too scarred by my upbringing to let anyone truly get close to me. The walls I had built around my heart were impenetrable, shielding me from the pain of rejection but also preventing me from experiencing the joy of genuine connection.

And so, I remained alone, a solitary figure wandering through life with only my memories and my dreams for company. Love may have eluded me thus far, but I hold onto the hope that someday, someone will come into my life and show me that love is not just a fairy tale, but a reality worth fighting for. Until then, I continue to search for solace in the pages of books and the warmth of cherished memories, knowing that love, like the sun breaking through the clouds after a storm, will one day find its way to me.

9. What is (are) your most prized possession(s)? What makes it (them) so special?

Well, if you're asking about my most prized possessions, it's gotta be my guns. Each one's like a part of me, you know? Take my revolver, for instance. Been by my side through thick and thin, never let me down. There's a kind of trust you build with a weapon like that, knowing it's always gonna have your back.

Then there's my custom rifle. That thing's a beauty. Precision engineering at its finest. It's not just a tool; it's a work of art. From the way it feels in my hands to the way it hits its mark, there's nothing quite like it.

But the one that really gets me is my old man's shotgun. Passed down to me when he passed on. It's like holding onto a piece of him, you know? Every scratch, every dent, it's like a memory etched into the metal. Reminds me of all the times we spent together, bonding over our love for firearms.

What makes 'em so special? It's not just about the firepower or the craftsmanship. It's about the memories they hold, the stories they tell. Each one's a chapter in my life, a piece of who I am. They're more than just possessions; they're a part of my soul.

10. What is the biggest problem in your life right now?

Link Answered after Contract 3, Fireworks Show

the biggest challenge in my life right now is not having a sense of belonging or stability. Growing up without parents or a family to call my own has left a void in my life that's hard to fill. While the caregivers at the orphanage do their best to provide for us, there's always that longing for a family to love and support me unconditionally.

It's tough seeing other kids my age with loving families, knowing that I don't have that same experience. Sometimes, it feels like I'm on the outside looking in, like I don't quite fit in anywhere. And as I approach adulthood, the uncertainty of my future weighs heavily on my mind. Will I ever find a family of my own? What will happen to me when I age out of the system?

But despite these challenges, I try to stay hopeful and resilient. I focus on my studies and my passions, like art and writing, as a way to express myself and cope with my emotions. And I hold onto the belief that someday, I'll find my place in the world and build a family of my own, whether it's through adoption, friendship, or creating my own support network. Until then, I'll keep moving forward, taking each day as it comes, and never giving up on the hope of finding love and belonging.

11. Describe a typical morning. How do you get ready to face the world?

Link Answered after Contract 3, Fireworks Show

A typical morning for me begins with the soft hum of machinery and the gentle whirring of gears as I wake in my workshop nestled amidst a sea of mechanical wonders. With precision and efficiency, I rise from my slumber, greeted by the warm glow of the rising sun filtering through the windows.

As I stretch my limbs, I take a moment to admire the intricate designs of the robots that surround me, each one a testament to my passion and dedication to the craft of engineering. With a sense of anticipation for the day ahead, I set about preparing myself to face the world.

First, I engage in a series of routine maintenance checks on my creations, ensuring that they are in optimal condition to assist me throughout the day. With practiced hands, I fine-tune their mechanisms, oiling joints and tightening bolts with meticulous care.

Next, I turn my attention to my own preparations, donning my trusty engineer's uniform and securing my tools in their designated pockets. With a quick glance in the mirror to ensure that I am presentable, I am ready to embark on the day's adventures.

Before stepping out into the world, I take a moment to savor a hearty breakfast, fueling my body and mind for the challenges that lie ahead. As I indulge in my morning meal, I review my plans for the day, mentally mapping out the tasks that await me and the projects that I hope to tackle.

Armed with determination and a sense of purpose, I bid farewell to my workshop and venture out into the bustling streets beyond. With my robots by my side, I am confident that together, we will face whatever challenges the day may bring, ready to conquer them with ingenuity, innovation, and a dash of mechanical magic.

12. If you were going somewhere special that you wanted to look your best for, what would you do to prepare? What would you wear? How long would it take you to get ready?

Link Answered after Contract 4, The Sage of Mindanao

If I were going somewhere special and wanted to look my best, I'd probably start by digging through my wardrobe, searching for the one outfit that makes me feel confident and put together. It might take me a while because, let's be real, my wardrobe isn't exactly overflowing with options.

Once I've settled on an outfit, I'd probably take a quick shower and do my best to tame my unruly hair. I don't have any fancy styling products, so it's mostly just a matter of combing it into submission and hoping for the best.

After that, I'd spend a little extra time on my skincare routine, maybe dabbing on some moisturizer to make my skin look a bit brighter. And of course, I can't forget about brushing my teeth – gotta have that fresh breath, you know?

All in all, it would probably take me a good hour or so to get ready, maybe a bit longer if I'm really struggling to decide on an outfit. But hey, when you're trying to make a good impression, it's worth taking the time to get it right, even if you're just a regular orphan teenager like me.

13. What will you do for your next birthday?

Link Answered after Contract 4, The Sage of Mindanao

or my next birthday, I'd love to do something special, even if it's just a small celebration. Since I don't have family to plan anything big, I'd probably gather a few close friends for a low-key get-together. Maybe we'd have a movie night with lots of snacks, or if the weather's nice, we could have a picnic in the park.

I've always been a fan of homemade birthday cakes, so I might try my hand at baking one myself. It might not turn out perfect, but it's the thought that counts, right? Plus, there's something special about putting your own effort into something like that.

And who knows, maybe we'd even do a little gift exchange. It doesn't have to be anything fancy – just something thoughtful and meaningful from each of us to celebrate another trip around the sun.

Overall, I think it's less about the grand gestures and more about spending time with the people who matter most to me. As long as I'm surrounded by good company and good vibes, I know it'll be a birthday to remember.

14. What is your greatest regret?

Link Answered after Contract 5, The Building ni Gayeong Siege

"It's a memory that lingers, like a dark cloud that refuses to disperse. My dad, well, he had a temper that could shake the walls. And when he unleashed it, it was like a storm raging through our home. But it wasn't me who bore the brunt of his fury, it was my mom. She suffered in silence, while I stood by, silent too. I thought I was protecting her, you know? Keeping her safe from more harm. But now, when I look back, I see the truth. I was just too scared to stand up to him. My biggest regret? Not defending her against his wrath. Those words, they haunt me, a constant reminder of my weakness. But I can't change the past. All I can do is carry the weight of my regret and try to be better, even though I'll always be marked by my failure. I hate my father very much"

15. What is the nature of your Gifts? Are they inherent potential? Do harbingers just grant your wishes?

Link Answered after Contract 5, The Building ni Gayeong Siege

The harbingers, they're like the key that unlocks magical powers, you know? But it's not just about getting these powers; it's about what we do with them afterward. We don't just settle for what we're given; we strive to make it better, to make it stronger. It's like when you have a seed and you plant it in the ground. You don't just leave it there; you water it, you nurture it, until it grows into a mighty tree. That's what we do with our magic. We take what the harbingers give us and we improve upon it. We study, we train, we experiment, until our magic becomes something truly remarkable. It's a journey of growth and discovery, turning something ordinary into something extraordinary. So yeah, the harbingers grant us magical powers, but it's our dedication and hard work that turn it into something so much greater and more powerful.
