    Circumstances

    Respected Expert: Police
    From Assets and Liabilities
You are highly respected and influential within a given field or industry. Just about anyone in _____ will know of you and respect your status and ability within that field. Social rolls made against anyone in your chosen field receive +2 dice.
    Stockpile: Military Firearms
    From Assets and Liabilities
You have a stockpile of a specific type of weaponry or hard-to-find items. During a Downtime, you may obtain up to three items from your stockpile.
    Database: Criminal Records
    From Assets and Liabilities
You have access to a specific database of non-public information. As long as you have internet access or cell service, you may search for relevant information in your database. GMs may require you to make a roll and/or spend a significant amount of time for particularly complex or nuanced information requests, at their discretion.
    Point of Contact: Police
    From Assets and Liabilities
You know someone in a specific industry or area of influence, and can lean on them for assistance. Once per Contract, and once per Downtime, you may call in a favor from _____. Your contact is not brainwashed or supernaturally compelled, and they may refuse to do things which are unreasonable or absurd. You may attempt to call in additional favors beyond the first one, but these are not guaranteed, and over-use of your contact may cause you to lose them, as well as create potential Loose Ends.

    Conditions

    From Maelstrom
Banned In Japan For suspected pedophilia
    From Assets and Liabilities
Daredevil You have a penchant for taking wild, unnecessary risks, and somehow manage to survive them. You get +3 dice when attempting an action that is especially risky, and may ignore a single 1 on that roll.

    Loose Ends

Dark Secret: He is a reformed wife beater

Imminent Dangerous Given by a Liability
You have a secret which, if it got out, would lead to immediate and significant consequences for you.

    Powers

Cleatus takes a good look at the lock in question as if pondering some invisible angles on it, then. Puts his foot against it and slams his boot into it, causing it to turn even if the lock wouldn't normally operate with such an interaction as the door or mechanism turns immediately and violently in response to the force, activating and unlocking in defiance of all that is holy and logical.

Spend an Action to activate. Select a door, lock, or locked target within arm's reach. Cannot be used on Alien technology. You must actively and obviously use A boot to activate this Effect.

You may lock, unlock, and/or open your target.

This Gift's Cost is capped at 2 and cannot be increased further.

    • Any door or restraint that is fastened or shut with a mechanism may be considered locked, at the GM's discretion. Can be used on control panels or other electronic locks, but not computer security systems.
    • If you operate a locking mechanism through this Effect which has some other secondary effect (such as the ignition on a car causing the car to start) you may cause that effect as well.
    • You can target yourself if you qualify as a valid target by the other requirements.

Cleatus may be a bad cop, but he isn't a bad man. He doesn't enjoy leaping to violence as a first response despite his hollering, and after asking to have some time with the Dust Devil in the events following his encounter with the nation's fiercest bikers he discovered that he had been.. changed. It seemed taking the right approach and having your heart in the right place seems to have its benefits. Now buoyed by the winds that run through his hair as he hits the highway like the riders of old. Cleatus drives like the bat out of hell he was born to be. Tailwinds and aerodynamics are now a never properly understood memory. Though he does still hear the nattering whispers of the wind spirits he's now become attuned to, and as a result, he's beginning to feel like there's more to being American than the red, white, and blue, and his passengers will hear similar nattering whispers. Like intrusive thoughts compelling them to remember what's important, and to not allow anyone to take what's dear to them without a fight. You have to protect it. You can't allow them to take it again. Wait.. again?

You gain the following benefits as long as you are piloting any vehicle.

You receive +2 dice to any rolls to pilot a vehicle.

You also gain the following effects:

    • Daredevil: Damage you and your passengers take from vehicle collisions is halved (rounded up) and the result is limited to a maximum of 5.
    • Drive-By: You may drive or pilot your vehicle as a Free Action, without taking any penalty on other Actions.

Since his reform Cleatus has had some trouble getting in touch with the more sensible side of things, but with some help from a good friend and a healthy dose of therapy Cleatus has gotten in touch with the part of him that really understands how people around him feel, and with a little elbow grease and a hearty conversation the two of them can reveal all sorts of hidden things, and with a little brow beating Cleatus can extract things that the target in question would never have wanted exposed.

Exert your Mind and spend one minute to activate. Select a Sapient target within 20 feet. You must continuously interact with the individual in question in order to gather any information. At the end of your investigation, roll Brawn + Influence at Difficulty 6.

You learn all the following information about your target:

    • You learn Their passphrases, secret codes, etc and What their last crime was, and how they commited it.

The quality and specificity of information gained depends on your Outcome.

This Effect is not obvious, and the only sign you are using an Effect is Fiddling with his indiana ranger star. If someone suspects that an Effect was used, they must roll Perception + Alertness, Difficulty 8 to pick up on your Tell.

Any information you gather is A series of verbal questions and made publicly available.

    • You can target yourself if you qualify as a valid target by the other requirements.

Cleatus has always been quick as a whip, well. Physically, but this latest gift has given him an extra pep in his step that takes him beyond that kind of thing. After getting particularly drunk during his last outing, Cleatus woke up practically constantly as loose and relaxed as he had been when he was sauced. Now constantly benefiting from that state of snappy relaxation, Cleatus finds it easier than ever to react and roll his way into battle. Though he doesn't know that it was in fact a drunken request to be like this forever to a harbinger he met while blasted out of his mind after the last job that resulted in this.

You gain the following benefits at all times.

Your Dexterity rating is increased by 1. You may Exert your Mind to automatically gain an Outcome of 5 on any roll that uses Dexterity (Cannot be used on combat rolls or Power activations).

You also gain the following effects:

    • Centered: You have perfect balance. You cannot be knocked over, and can maintain your footing regardless of the size or stability of the material underneath you.

    Legendary Artifacts

    Indiana Ranger Star

Created and held by Cleatus Abernathy.
A glittering golden star shaped badge that reads "Indiana Ranger"

As the star glints in the sunlight Cleatus is imbued with the firearms skill and knowledge of the good old boys who have come before him, every hunt, every moonlit one in a million shot, and exactly how they made it comes flooding into his mind as he's granted the skill of every gunslinger the great state of Indiana has ever laid claim to. Though with it comes the independent spirit of those who came before it, and as new to magic as Cleatus is he finds it hard to resist these impulses they've forced upon him.

You gain the following benefits as long as you are wearing this Artifact and engaged in combat with firearms.

+2 dice to all firearms rolls.

Possession of this Artifact causes the following Trauma to manifest over the course of a day: Must speak in a Southern Accent, and roll mind to trust his life to someone else. If you lose possession of this Artifact, the Trauma heals over the course of the next month.

You also gain the following effects:

    • Point Control: Called Shots that you attempt only require a Contested Outcome of 2 for small targets and 4 for tiny targets.
    • I Shoot with my Mind: You may Exert your Mind to fire a shot completely blind without penalty.
    • Quick Fingers: Drawing your weapon is a Free Action as long as it is on your person. You may reload or swap ammo as a Free Action.
    • Swift Shooter: You may move your full Dash distance and make an attack without a movement penalty in the same Round of combat.

    • Reminder: Bonus Damage stacks with Weapon Damage, but does not stack with any other Bonus Damage. Instead, the highest Bonus Damage is used.

    Big Bessie

Created and held by Cleatus Abernathy.
Normally in the shape of a decativated .50 BMG bullet on a chain around his neck, the vehicle itself is a full sized APC capable of transporting 4 people in the front, and 6 in the back. The back compartment is separate, air tight, and equipped with heat and pressure sensors.

A black colored, military designated, and SCP branded 6 wheeled, all terrain capable, APC equipped to operate in any environment on the planet and now modded to function even underwater. Transitioning smoothly between on land and underwater Cleatus's mods to this APC show his talent as a mechanic.. even if he doesn't really understand what most of the parts are ACTUALLY called, his own internal system seems to have produced an anomalous vehicle perfect for the tasks he tackles on the day to day.

This Artifact can be used as a Big Bessie (Modded Foundation Anomaly Transport APC). It is roughly the same size as a Big Bessie (Modded Foundation Anomaly Transport APC) but can be collapsed into A decactivated.50 BMG bullet on a chain and concealed. Collapsing or expanding it costs a Free Action.

This Big Bessie (Modded Foundation Anomaly Transport APC) has Armored vehicle, nitrous installed, back compartment is separate and air tight with an 8 hour oxygen supply. All other foundation compliant features, including built in police scanner, and radio communication.. Any roll to pilot this vehicle receives +2 dice.

You also gain the following effects:

    • Amphibious: Your vehicle may move on and under water at its normal speed. If your vehicle includes an enclosed space, it will function as an airtight, pressurized cockpit.

    Crafted Artifacts

    XACTS Mk VI

Created by Meng Hao, given to Cleatus Abernathy.
    a rectangular object approximately 5 x 5 x 10 cm.

Takes out the Mk VI and waving around the Mk VI after entering in the hume reading of the area, It starts showing the object on the screen and on the side of the screen is a arrow that points towards it.

Exert your Mind and spend at least two Actions performing the following ritual: Takes out a Mk 6 and must enter the area base hume reading. to activate. You must maintain Concentration while activating this Effect, and it fails if you are interrupted.

You automatically detect the closest of any Object that has a different Hume reading from the Area within 50 feet of you for the next ten minutes. You have a clear sense of both the distance and direction towards the detected item. You get details of what each detected item is, as if you've glanced at each object.

Even if there are no Object that has a different Hume reading from the Area within 50 feet of you, you become aware of the direction the closest one is in, as well as a rough sense of its distance from you.

While this Effect is active, you are at -2 dice to all Actions and cannot Concentrate.

The Mk 6 is a rectangular object approximately 5 x 5 x 10 cm. It is a model developed by Meng Hao over multiple months of research and development. When activated and slapped on an object with the back to the object, the object will have its temporal characteristics changed. The object rapidly ages before it essentially turns to dust.
Due to its nature as a prototype, it is recommended to not be used with any object bigger than the size of a duffel bag. It is also sometimes unreliable due to its nature as well.

The Mark 6 is a innovation based off of the original XACTS Mark 1. While usage differs significantly from the original. Isolation of its effects has been put to use in multiple instances. While not working on living biological matter (believed to be due to the fact that living biological matters may be affected by quantum entanglement and to affect these matters means to be able to affect multiple versions and forms of them at the same time.) The Mark 6 works great when it comes to needing to eliminate waste or other inorganic matter such as plastic. The effects resemble natural decay/erosion. While through normal means plastic would just be grinded down to minuscule plastic bits, the mark 6 completely turns it into dust! its rather extraordinary.

Exert your Mind and spend an Action to activate. Select a Non-Sapient Object within arm's reach no larger than a duffel bag (35 liters). Roll a single d10, Difficulty 4. If you fail or botch, the Effect fails and you cannot activate it again for an hour. Roll Intellect + Technology Difficulty 6.

If your Outcome is 4 or higher, the target will be completely destroyed and can no longer function, though it may still be repaired. If your Outcome is less than 4, the target will be partially damaged, and any attempts to use it will suffer a dice penalty equal to your Outcome.

    • If this Effect fails due to the Unreliable check, you must still pay any associated activation costs.
    • The penalty from an object being damaged will stack with itself if a target is hit multiple times, but the object is destroyed when it reaches a total penalty of -4.
    • You can target yourself if you qualify as a valid target by the other requirements.

Stamped with Cleatus's seal of approval, and with a big ole' fireball underneath a picture of his smiling face, this little jug of wonder is good for more than drinking yourself blind. Line up your toss and let it go, and this little shell will burst into vapors once its container is shattered. The ceramic contents of the jug keep it stable right up until the point where you wanna set one of spinnin'.

Use up this ________ and spend an Action to activate. Make a Firearms attack at a Living target within normal attack range. Roll your for your attack as normal. The target may roll to dodge or defend, as normal for Firearms attacks. The attack may or may not deal Damage as per a normal attack, at the user's choice.

If you succeed, the target is afflicted with a Condition that causes one of the following symptoms:

    • Disabled: The target suffers from an affliction that leaves them unable to act at full strength, such as physical pain, severe fever, intense fatigue, etc. They take a -2 penalty to all physical actions, which grows by -1 every hour until it reaches your Outcome.
Symptoms begin to appear immediately, and will remain and continue to worsen until the affliction is cured. The affliction is not contagious and will not spread to others.

The affliction can be diagnosed with a Medicine roll, and may be cured by modern medicine through treatment at a fully equipped facility. Treatment outside of a facility may stop the affliction from worsening for a day, but will not cure the underlying Condition.

    • This consumable is destroyed when used and cannot be used again.
    • Successfully diagnosing an affliction also includes information about the treatment method.
    • Curing an affliction removes the Condition, but does not automatically heal any Injuries, Battle Scars, or Traumas which may have been caused by that condition.
    • You can target yourself if you qualify as a valid target by the other requirements.
