Gulliver, taking pieces of his chaotic and greedy and screaming soul, putting it into the small woodland skull of a rat putting it on a chain. These Screams and greed shield the users mind if successful learning the type of effect and adapting to it to stop it from being successful for the next day
You gain the following benefits as long as you are wearing this Artifact.
You get +1 dice to any Mind resistance rolls you make. You also gain the following effects:
A ridiculously loud, low riding bike with huge exhausts protruding from under the seat and upwards.
This Artifact can be used as a motorbike. It is roughly the same size as a motorbike but can be collapsed into Car Keys and concealed. Collapsing or expanding it costs a Quick Action.
This motorbike has preposterously sized exhausts. Any roll to pilot this vehicle receives +2 dice.
You also gain the following effects:
I wrote out a 900 word story about how Salvator learnt to talk and then the gift didn't save (probably because I wrote so much) and I cant be arsed doing it again. Long story short, he believes he can do anything when he's wearing his cardigan.
You gain the following benefits as long as you are wearing this Artifact.
You may understand and communicate to Creatures and humans as if you are fluent in a relevant language.
An small orange, circular ‘chip’ with arachnid-like legs crawls and inserts itself in the target object, then lighting up with a ‘0u0’ expression as the object comes to life. When asked questions, it will respond in a robotic text-to-speech voice.
Exert your Mind and spend an Action. Select a household electronics within arm's reach which could fit inside a briefcase (15 liters).
Your target will become Animated for three hours. You may choose to end the effect at will, as a Free Action. This Artifact can only maintain one animated object at a time.
Animated Objects have the following restrictions and capabilities:
After a few moments of intense prayer, a long-dead member of Sir Galahad The Third's ancestor's army appears, equipped with a longbow and arrows.
Exert your Mind and spend two Actions performing the following ritual: Signing a Celtic Poem. This Effect cannot be used unless you are in a place of worship. You must maintain Concentration while activating this Effect, and it fails if you are interrupted.
Summon a single Medieval Longbowman at your location. They will last until they are destroyed. They are controlled by the GM but will follow any commands you give. This Artifact may have at most 1 minion active at a time.
You may only use this Effect once per day.
Luna's gauntlet has small focused graviton waves that emit from it, and, similar to a 3d printer, build up the object that's being constructed. The gauntlet has an in-built matter pipeline, from vacuum energy system to matter synthesizer to atomic forge to molecular assembler. Each layer building the next layer.
Expend a point of Battery and spend 1 minute.
Choose an Object which could fit inside a regular backpack (up to 27 liters). It must be Non-Alien and generic. You cannot create explosives. You cannot create firearms.
Roll Intellect + Technology to fabricate up to 5 copies of your chosen Object. The Difficulty is assigned by the GM and depends on the specificity of your chosen Object. The created item lasts 2 hours.
Luna points the gauntlet at her target and makes a hand gesture of a clenched fist and the spreading it. A wave of gravity shoots out, and pushes whatever it's pointing at away - although, given relative weights, it more often ends up pushing her away.
She's okay with this.
Of course, wearing a gravity gun strapped to your wrist isn't exactly good for your shoulder.
Spend an Action. Select a Object or Animate target up to 100 feet away. Select a distance up to 100 feet.
Targets that weigh less than you are pushed back until they are the selected distance away or pulled towards you until they are the selected distance away. If you are lighter, you move instead. If you are roughly the same weight, you and the target both move.
This Effect cannot move anything heavier than 500 pounds.
Affected targets may use a Reaction and roll Dexterity or Brawn + Athletics to hold on to a nearby anchor, if available. A complete success increases their effective weight by whatever they hold onto. You may also roll to anchor yourself as you activate this Effect without spending a Reaction.
Pushing a target straight upward requires you to be directly beneath them and halves the range. GM’s may ask for a Dexterity + Athletics roll when repositioning yourself around a target to get a desired angle. They may React to reposition or anchor themselves as normal.
This Gift cannot have more than 3 Drawbacks, and its Gift Cost is capped at 1.
Anyone who touches this Artifact will notice it warping their body and may drop it. If they choose to hold or use it, they immediately receive the following Battle Scar: Shoulder Sublaxiation: One of your shoulders is damaged. Whenever it takes a major blow or is otherwise put under stress the GM may dislocate it. A dislocated limb cannot be used until you Exert your Mind and spend an Action to reset it. If they lose possession of this Artifact, the Battle Scar heals over the course of the next day.
The gauntlet is able to put things back together just as easily as build them from scratch. The lasers sweep over the target, quickly repairing the the target.
Exert your Mind and spend 1 Action. Select a Object within arm's reach that is of any size. You may target Alien technology, so long as you have an understanding of its intended function. You must use up lithium-ion battery in order to activate this Effect. More than half the target object must be present in order to begin repairs. Roll Intellect + Technology at Difficulty 6.
If you succeed, your target is repaired back to a functional state. If you fail, you spend the full time working before realizing you cannot repair the target.
The artifact is hardened. The owner can bring up a Neo-Genis console and summon the artifact.
This Artifact cannot be broken. If this Artifact is lost and in no one else’s possession, it finds its way back to its true owner during the next Downtime.
By default, the creator of this Artifact is its true owner. The true owner may formally bequeath this Artifact onto another person within arm’s reach, after which they are its true owner. If the true owner dies or is destroyed, their ownership ends. If this Artifact has no true owner, anyone may spend one day attuning to it to become its true owner.
If this Artifact is in no one else’s possession, its true owner may Exert their Mind and spend two Actions to bring it to themselves.
Really, an upgrade is just another form of repair. The universal constructor is able to tweak an object to upgrade it.
Exert your Mind and spend a minute. Select a Device within arm's reach. Can be used on Alien technology. Roll a single D10 as a critical failure check. If you roll a 1, the Effect fails, and you the item is broken. You must use up lithium-ion battery in order to activate this Effect. Can be used on Armor.
Lasts the next day. Your target receives 3 extra dice to all actions taken for its intended use. Attacking with an upgraded weapon grants +3 Weapon Damage instead of additional dice. If it is a piece of Armor, it instead receives half that amount as bonus armor rating, rounded up. If an upgraded shield and armor are both worn, the upgrade bonus does not stack with itself.
Upgraded weapons count as any material your opponent might be particularly vulnerable to. Upgraded Armor cannot be circumvented by called shots. Upgraded Devices do not run out of fuel or energy.
The Universal Constructor is able to do precise bulk fabrication of standard building pieces, given sufficient supplemental power. It's also able to reclaim those just as quickly.
Exert your Mind and spend an Action. Select a Location within arm's reach. You must use up lithium-ion battery in order to activate this Effect.
Select one of the following alterations to create out of man-made construction materials originating at the target:
The alteration begins to form when you activate this Effect and finishes forming on your initiative in the next Round. Until it finishes forming, it is not guaranteed to function.
This alteration lasts indefinitely but may be prematurely destroyed or altered. Your alterations may be broken through with appropriate tools. Anyone attempting to break through must roll Brawn + a relevant Ability. A cumulative Outcome of 6 across all attempts breaks a hole large enough to move through. See the extended system text for GM guidance on various tools.
You may end this Effect prematurely as a Free Action.
Luna closes her eyes, and reaches past this layer of reality.
Thankfully, whatever operating system reality runs on keeps excellent snapshots, and she's able to, if she can find the index, recover a personality from it, just for a short time.
Spend one minute. Select a Dead target within 50 feet. For dead targets, you must possess their true name.
The target can communicate in your language for the next hour.
Communicating with a being cannot directly damage your Mind or cause Injury. All rolls to resist Effects that rely on communicating with you are made at -1 Difficulty.
The pulse-motion gauntlet is made mostly for working with materials - however, the extremely sophisticated little arrays inside are just as able to map biological pathways as they are metallurgical ones, and interact with it with the pumped pulsed-phase lasers.
The lasers sweep over their target, rapidly forming a map of them and then being able to query the pathways that make it up.
Exert your Mind and spend an Action. Select an Animate target within 25 feet You must use up lithium-ion battery in order to activate this Effect. You must maintain Concentration while the effect is active. Roll Intellect + Technology at Difficulty 6. The target may resist by rolling Mind at Difficulty 6.
If you succeed, you are able to view your target's memories. If you fail, the target knows you're attempting to read their memories.
You may ask a number of specific questions about their memory equal to your Contested Outcome. For example, “what is their computer password,” “What were they doing at 4:00PM yesterday,” etc. You cannot get answers to broad, analytical questions like “are they a good person?” or “what are their plans for the future?”
Each question you ask and memory you replay takes a single Round to read.
You may read memories that the target has forgotten.
This device is a piece of chrome the size and shape of the back of a spoon. When placed against the skin, small hypodermic needles sprout from the device and attach it to the user's bloodstream. There, it filters and releases lifesaving drugs into the bloodstream, granting complete immunity from contracting new diseases and added resiliency in all other cases.
WARNING: The immunizing drugs have been shown to reduce inhibitions in test subjects.
