This Artifact grants you supernatural skill with Shortbows.

It turns out that in honoring his kills, and in ensuring that every part of them is put to use that Louis has gained the attention of some people who are interested in ensuring that his bowmanship reaches peaks suitable for hunting his new favored prey. The pendant in question one found within his home on returning from a job involving hunting snakes, though Louis was unawares of the mythological connection he was still glad of the boon when he found that it solved the rather irritating problem of being out shot by a brony mid mission.

You gain the following benefits as long as you are wearing this Artifact and engaged in combat with Shortbows.

You receive +2 dice to all rolls using Shortbows. Reloading is considered a Free Action.

You also gain the following effects:

  • Assassin: If your attack Injures your target, they cannot make a sound, even incidentally, for a single Round. Even the sound of their body and equipment dropping to the ground is silenced.
  • Bullet Parry: You may Defend against any attack in your firearm’s range using your firearm. Defending this way still costs a Reaction.
  • Finesse: You may limit the Severity of any Injury you inflict or determine a maximum Wound Level to inflict on the target, including Incapacitated.
  • Hail Storm: You may Exert your Mind to make an attack with Shortbows against all targets within a 120 degree arc in front of you. Your full attack Outcome applies to each of them, but they may attempt to Dodge or Defend if they are aware of the attack.
  • Pincushion: Any attack or Effect activation roll against a target that already has one of your projectiles stuck into them is rolled at -1 Difficulty.

Community Archery Mastery Gifts

You gain the following benefits as long as engaged in combat with Bows.

You receive +2 dice to all rolls using Bows. Reloading is a Free Action, and drawing your weapon does not require a Quick Action as long as it is on your person.

You also gain the following effects:

  • All-Terrain Archer: Your attacks made with Bows never suffer penalties due to movement or environmental conditions. This includes sprinting, climbing, firing in the rain, etc.
  • Bullet Parry: You may use a Reaction to Defend against any Melee, thrown, or projectile Attack in range of your Attacks.
  • Hail Storm: You may Exert your Mind to make an attack with Bows against all targets within a 120 degree arc in front of you. Your full attack Outcome applies to each of them, but they may attempt to Dodge or Defend if they are aware of the attack.

You gain the following benefits as long as engaged in combat with Crossbow.

You receive +2 dice to all rolls using Crossbow. Reloading is a Free Action, and drawing your weapon does not require a Quick Action as long as it is on your person.

You also gain the following effects:

  • Bullet Parry: You may use a Reaction to Defend against any Melee, thrown, or projectile Attack in range of your Attacks.
  • Point Control: Called Shots that you attempt only require a Contested Outcome of 2 for small targets and 4 for tiny targets.

You gain the following benefits as long as engaged in combat with crossbows.

You receive +2 dice to all rolls using crossbows. Reloading is considered a Free Action.

You also gain the following effects:

  • Payload: Your projectiles can carry a payload of up to 3 lbs without a penalty.
  • Pin Down: If your attack hits a target near a wall or a floor, the projectile pierces through them, pinning them to the wall or floor. Unpinning oneself quickly will increase the relevant Injury’s Severity by 1.

  • Blood Conduit: Any Injury caused by one of your projectiles satisfies the Conduit requirement for any other Powers you possess. This lasts until the Injury is healed or utilized as a Conduit.
  • Finesse: You may limit the Severity of any Injury you inflict or determine a maximum Wound Level to inflict on the target, including Incapacitated. You may also choose to make this Injury properly or improperly stabilized, or to keep it unstabilized.

  • Bullseye: If you are not making an attack or activating an Effect, any projectile you fire will be considered a complete success without needing to make a roll.
