Caught in my web “Step into my parlor” said the spider to the fly

The power to set traps that impair a target's movement when triggered.
Used by Ame (Raine) Aoki, Created by Iamangelofwar.
(The trap looks like thin, fragile spider webs* and can only be discovered as a trap by those with preexisting knowledge of such traps. )

As the web breaks, both ends lash out, entangling and spinning a cocoon around the person, pulling them to a nearby wall, ceiling, or floor.

By “using” the webs, you must break them

Exert your Mind and spend 30 seconds to turn thin, fragile spider webs* into a trap. This trap lasts one day or until triggered or disarmed. Roll Brawn + Crafts at Difficulty 6.

The trap looks like thin, fragile spider webs* and can only be discovered as a trap by those with preexisting knowledge of such traps. Anyone who is aware of the trap may intuitively avoid, trigger, or destroy it.

Any target within within arm's reach that uses the trap as thin, fragile spider webs* will trigger it. The target] may contest by Defending or Dodging.

When the trap is triggered, your target will be pushed or pulled towards a surface within arm's reach and is restricted at that location by a physical, tangible binding. They can still move their arms and use Effects, but cannot move to a new location.

The binding around a target must be destroyed in order for them to break free. Breaking the binding requires a total amount of damage equal to twice the contested Outcome from the Effect activation. Damage from multiple attacks is cumulative and stacks linearly.

  • Triggering the trap requires an Action from the target, not merely an incidental glance.
  • For entities whose movement could be considered an attack (e.g. a kaiju), the GM may rule that they are merely slowed instead of fully restricted.
  • Multiple traps cannot be placed in the exact same location or be triggered by the same single Action. Nor can one trap triggering cause another to trigger.
  • Trap can only be spotted by someone who has witnessed this particular trap before, has been informed, or possesses relevant supernatural abilities.

Charisma + Influence difficulty 7

Mind diff 6 to resist

Due to their ability to grant orders to mortals on behalf of the heavenly host, Chamael has the ability to issue simple commandments. When used outside of alternate form, a image of his alternate form shimmers over his body, wings outstretched, like a ghost-
A glimpse at his true self.

Exert your Mind (unless Alternate Form is Active) and spend at least one Action to activate. Select a Sapient target at any range. Communicate a command to your target. Roll Charisma + Alertness at Difficulty 6. The target may resist by rolling Mind at Difficulty 7.

If the contested Outcome is positive, your target will be compelled to follow your command to their best understanding of the letter and spirit of the command until they have completed it or for your Outcome in hours. You cannot issue another suggestion to the target until 10 minutes after they have completed the first command or 10 minutes after a failure.

They will be unaware that they are under any sort of compulsion until the effect wears off, but they will appear obviously mind-controlled the entire time to anyone observing them. If you fail, they realize that you were attempting to influence them supernaturally with your command.

Your command can be an order to take an immediate Action. You cannot order a target to "do nothing," and they are free to take other Actions as they fulfill your request. Commands can put the target into a potentially self-endangering scenario, including Combat, though you cannot force a target to directly attack themselves. Commands may force a target to violate one of their Limits, and they will need to make a Trauma roll once the suggestion wears off.

You are equally bound to follow any command you issue.

  • The target must be able to understand you and must receive your communication for the suggestion to work.
  • Allowed Commands
    • Direct Order: The target must take an immediate action (e.g. “Sit down,” "run away," or "tell me your password.")
  • You can target yourself if you qualify as a valid target by the other requirements.

Jeremy Soap takes a deep breath, blows, and creates a giant bubble imbued with his will to shield him and his friends from attacks. When used on someone else, it rockets towards them and engulfs them before hardening.

Exert your Mind and spend an Action or Reaction to activate. Select a Animate target within 20 feet. You must actively and obviously use Bubble Wand to activate this Effect. Roll Charisma + Influence at Difficulty 6.

If you succeed, you create a Barrier around your target, which absorbs the next Outcome Damage. The Damage reduction from the Barrier is applied before Armor, and is treated like Armor by any effects such as Armor Penetration. You may only have 1 active barrier at a time.

You must maintain Concentration while using this Effect. The Barrier will fall if you are interrupted, or if it absorbs the full amount of damage. When a Barrier falls, you cannot use this Effect again for a minimum of 2 Rounds.

Terra is beginning to learn the demonic tricks of manipulating the human mind through the use of dark illusion. The extent is limited for now, only unlocking ability to draw the targets mind onto a piece of paper and due to the amounts of hellforce being applied, burning the illusioned object when completed.

Spend an Action to activate. Select a Paper within arm's reach.

The target becomes disguised with a new forged appearance of your choice, which must fit within the theme of _Identification_. You may have up to 1 Forgeries active concurrently and may choose to end the effect at will as a Free Action.

The new appearance can mimic specific items (such as a particular painting, a certain person’s ID, etc), as long as they are within your theme, but must be of a similar size and weight to the targeted Object The forged appearance will generally hold up to any mundane scrutiny, though exceptions can be made at GMs discretion.

When your Forgery expires, the original Paper is broken or otherwise rendered useless.

This Gift's level is capped at 2 Gifts and cannot be increased further.

  • The composition of the original object will not be altered, and it will not lose its functionality or gain any new functionality outside of its changed appearance.
  • Any attempt to use an object for a function which it cannot perform (for instance, making bread look like a knife and then trying to stab someone) may cause the disguise to fail or require a Perception check at GM's discretion.
  • You can target yourself if you qualify as a valid target by the other requirements.

Flesh begins to almost knit itself back together in a fashion that makes it hard to believe it was ever there if not for lingering bits of phantom pain still in the patient's mind.

A power of unknown origins even to it's possessor, perhaps simply developed out of empathy for those suffering.

Exert your Mind and spend 1 minute to activate. Select a Living target within arm's reach. You cannot target yourself. Choose a specific Injury on your target that has not yet been treated with this Effect and roll Intellect + Firearms at Difficulty 6.

If you succeed, the Injury is reduced in Severity by your Outcome. If you reduce its Severity to 0, the Injury is fully healed. Otherwise, it is partially healed and will heal the rest of the way at its natural rate.

This counts as a successful Makeshift Stabilization if the Injury was not already Stabilized; any Battle Scars caused by the Injury will remain.

Possession of this Power grants the following Battle Scar: Limp/ nerve damage in right leg.

  • You can target yourself if you qualify as a valid target by the other requirements.

Severe skin discoloration.

Rare patches of dark scale-like growths as of yet incapable of resisting outside agitators.

Yellow Alligatoridae-like eyes with vertical slit like pupils.

Razor sharp talons durable enough to cut through flesh bone and some steel alloys.

You gain the following benefits as long as you are engaged in unarmed combat.

Your unarmed attacks deal +0 Bonus Damage, and Brawn no longer acts as Armor against them. The target's other Armor is fully effective against this damage.

You also gain the following effects:

  • Armored Fist: You cannot take damage from attacking a dangerous material (such as steel armor, a spiked carapace, or an acidic blob). You may Clash with or Defend against any melee weapons or arrows.
  • Brutal Strikes: Any Injury you inflict causes a Battle Scar if you wish, regardless of Severity.
  • Precision Strikes: You may use Dexterity instead of Brawn on your attack rolls.

  • Reminder: Bonus Damage stacks with Weapon Damage, but does not stack with any other Bonus Damage. Instead, the highest Bonus Damage is used.
  • Unlike the Ability Brawl, this Effect does not affect small weapons such as knives.

The Thief has a stash in which they can store a few objects. It can be accessed through any burlap sack.

spend a Free Action to activate. You must actively and obviously use a burlap sack to activate this Effect.

You may withdraw an item from your stash, or add an item that is within arm’s reach to your stash. You may store Objects in your stash, each no larger than something which could fit inside a briefcase (15 liters), and you may store up to 3 things at a time.

  • Containers which hold multiple things may count as a single item so long as the things within are generally packaged together. For instance, you may stash a clip full of bullets, a medical kit full of medical supplies, or a box of crackers, but you cannot stash a backpack full of miscellaneous equipment.
  • You may only attempt to store Objects which are free-standing and disconnected from other things. The use of this Effect will not allow you to sever any connections holding an Object in place.
  • The Maximum Object Size parameter is intended to roughly capture the weight / size restriction of items and isn’t intended to restrict shape. GM discretion is advised. A human being is level 4 in the Maximum Object Size parameter.
