This Artifact allows you to detect all nearby Monsters.

(You must use this Artifact obviously when activating this Effect.)

The Dragon Slayer has carved a modified rune onto a stone and added it to their necklace, expanding its range from the detection of dragons and their kin to the detection of all monstrous creatures. The runestone lights up with a magical glow when it detects a monster nearby, and can have its accuracy improved by empowering it with additional mana.

Exert your Mind and spend an Action to activate.

You automatically detect all Monsters within 50 feet of you for the next minute. This includes any who come within range during the duration. You have a sense of how many valid targets are nearby and their direction, and you have a clear sense of both the distance and direction towards any detected beings. This information is accurate enough to use for aiming at them, at +1 Difficulty.

Even while this Effect is not active, if any Monsters come within 50 feet of you, you may roll Perception + Alertness, Difficulty 7 to detect them.

A Rusalka is a Female water spirit. Often associated with young women, who either committed suicide by drowning due to an unhappy marriage or who were violently drowned against their will (especially after becoming pregnant with unwanted children).

Exert your Mind and spend two Actions performing the following ritual: asking the illusionary Rusalka "oh mother to be tell me what lost children you see" while writng the response in the book of Grim. This Effect cannot be used unless A illusionary Rusalka must be present. You must maintain Concentration while activating this Effect, and it fails if you are interrupted.

You automatically detect all lycanthropes, Undead, Demons, and Mythical Beasts and Fey within 300 feet of you for the next hour. This includes any who come within range during the duration. You have a sense of how many valid targets are nearby, as well as their distance and direction.

  • This Effect does not satisfy the line of sight targeting requirement for other Effects.

Exert your Mind and spend an Action.

You automatically detect all Stressed Creatures within 300 feet of you for the next hour. This includes any who come within range during the duration. You have a sense of how many valid targets are nearby, as well as their distance and direction.

Any Stressed Creatures detected while the effect is active are “marked”. You will continue to detect them until the effect ends, no matter how far away they move. You will also continue to detect them after the effect ends, so long as they remain within 300 feet of you.

You receive the scent for each being you detect.

All Stressed Creatures who you can sense are equally able to sense you.

Anyone who witnesses you during this Effect's activation or for its duration will almost certainly be disturbed to see sphincters opening up on Wei’s arms as long, puffy scent organs pulse outwards.

  • Any targets that are marked satisfy the line of sight requirement for targeted Effects.
  • When narrating disturbing content, be cognizant of your group's tone and accommodating to those who would like to "fast forward" through the description.

You automatically detect all demons, vampires, devils, or other unholy entities within 300 feet of you for the next hour. This includes any who come within range during the duration. You have a sense of how many valid targets are nearby, as well as their distance and direction.

If no demons, vampires, devils, or other unholy entities targets are within 300 feet of you, and then one enters range, you automatically detect it, even if this Effect is not active.

Any demons, vampires, devils, or other unholy entities detected while this Effect is active are “marked”. You will continue to detect them until the Effect ends, no matter how far away they move. You will also continue to detect them after the Effect ends, so long as they remain within 300 feet of you.

You learn basic information about why each detected being is being detected. For example, if you detect Criminals, you may learn how many crimes they have committed and what type.

You receive a name for each being you detect.

All demons, vampires, devils, or other unholy entities who you can sense are equally able to sense you.

  • This Effect does not satisfy the line of sight targeting requirement for other Effects.

Exert your Mind and spend an Action. You must use up s smoking object in order to activate this Effect.

You automatically detect all descendants of the alchemists within 300 feet of you for the next hour. This includes any who come within range during the duration. You have a sense of how many valid targets are nearby, as well as their distance and direction.

If no descendants of the alchemists targets are within 300 feet of you, and then one enters range, you automatically detect it, even if this Effect is not active.

Even if there are no descendants of the alchemists within 300 feet of you, you become aware of the direction the closest one is in, as well as a rough sense of its distance from you.

This Effect is obviously Alien and eye-catching across its range to those witnessing it, and you are obviously the source.

  • This Effect does not satisfy the line of sight targeting requirement for other Effects.

Exert your Mind and spend an Action. You must actively and obviously use a crucifix to activate this Effect.

You automatically detect all Demonic entities within 50 feet of you for the next hour. This includes any who come within range during the duration. You have a sense of how many valid targets are nearby, as well as their distance and direction.

Even if there are no Demonic entities within 50 feet of you, you become aware of the direction the closest one is in, as well as a rough sense of its distance from you.

  • This Effect does not satisfy the line of sight targeting requirement for other Effects.

You automatically detect all people wielding weapons within 300 feet of you for the next hour. This includes any who come within range during the duration. You have a sense of how many valid targets are nearby, as well as their distance and direction.
