Ignus Creates a radius of fire.

1
The power to cause a destructive blast of damage in an area.
Used by Jericho of Novigrad, Created by Kamulis.
(Both the source of the effect, as well as the danger zone it creates, are obvious to observers. )

Witchers have access to a small well of magic. When a witcher uses the ignus sign they create a small area of fire. When the witcher uses the sign a glyph appears near their hand as the spell takes effect.

Exert your Mind and spend an Action to activate. Select a Location no further than 50 feet from you and in your line of sight. The area within 20 feet of the chosen Location immediately and obviously becomes imminently dangerous. Anyone in the area has 1 Round to attempt to escape. During the next Round, on your Initiative, roll Brawn + Occult at Difficulty 6.

If the Outcome is positive, your blast hits everything within 20 feet of the chosen Location with Damage equal to your Outcome + 2. Armor is fully effective against this damage.

  • You can target yourself if you qualify as a valid target by the other requirements.

Community Blast Gifts

The creature requires a genetic imprint of the original limb that it is replacing, and must entirely consume the limb that it replaces. If the original limb is regained, it ceases to function, reverting to an amorphous wad of fleshy substance.
If the artifact this gift is attached to has the Sultende Klo gift as well, it may be used as the grindhouse weapon in place of a regular knife.

Disfiguring - Host
You are the host to an exceptionally ravenous creature that drives you to consume more than the average person. Every 24 hours, you must consume at least 4 pounds of meat in addition to your body's regular needs.

You gain the following benefits as long as you allow the creature to consume and replace your arm and you are wearing this Artifact.

You gain an additional limb that functions as a standard human arm and hand.

Each additional limb you posses can take one Quick Action per Round without incurring a -2 dice penalty to your main Action. Any Battle Scars that affect or remove your additional limb will heal in a single week.

Your extra appendage can be used to attack in exactly the same manner as a knife.

You may turn this Effect on and off at will during its duration.

Anyone who touches this Artifact will notice it warping their body and may drop it. If they choose to hold or use it, they immediately receive the following Battle Scar: Host. If they lose possession of this Artifact, the Battle Scar heals over the course of the next day.

Your Extra Appendage is incapable of fine object manipulation.

  • You may only switch this Effect on or off once per Round on your initiative as a Free Action.

Increase your sacrificial Injury's Severity by 1 and spend an Action. You must make a Trauma roll when you use this Effect. Its Difficulty cannot be reduced by any means. If you fail or Botch, you receive one Mind Damage and a new Trauma. The area within 50 feet of you immediately and obviously becomes imminently dangerous. Anyone in the area has 1 Round to attempt to escape. During the next Round, on your Initiative, roll Brawn + Athletics at Difficulty 6. Targets remaining inside the radius may attempt an appropriate Reaction at GM’s discretion. Finding a physical barrier to use as cover will cut total damage taken in half (applies after Reaction roll but before Armor).

If the Outcome is positive, your blast hits everything within 50 feet of you with Damage equal to your Outcome + 6. If you botched the activation roll, you will also take full Damage from the blast, otherwise it will not hurt you.

For the next 3 Rounds following the initial blast, this Effect will deal a new blast of damage to any targets remaining within range of you. The damage decays by 2 each Round.

Any flammable Objects within the radius during the blast will catch fire, and any being who takes at least 4 Damage will catch fire. Starting the Round after they caught fire, flaming targets take 2 Damage per Round until the fire is extinguished.

Anyone who takes damage from the blast is knocked back away from you by a distance equal to the radius. They must succeed a Body roll, Difficulty 9, or be stunned for 1 round.

If you do not have a sacrificial Injury when you activate this Effect, take a new Severity-1 Injury.

  • Any visual cues from the initial blast which indicate imminent danger will remain in place during the following three waves of new blasts.
  • The sacrificial Injury received from activating this Effect cannot be prevented by any means or healed before 1 day has passed. It is shared with all Effects that use sacrifice. This Injury does not requires Stabilization or cause Battle Scars when it becomes Severe.
  • You can target yourself if you qualify as a valid target by the other requirements.
  • Your target must be within line of sight, or within range of another sense if more fitting for the Gift's flavor.

Exert your Mind and spend an Action. Select a Location no further than 40 feet from you and in your line of sight. You must use up Batteries in order to activate this Effect. The area within 25 feet of the chosen Location immediately and obviously becomes imminently dangerous. Roll Intellect + Technology at Difficulty 6. Targets inside the radius may attempt an appropriate Reaction at GM’s discretion. Finding a physical barrier to use as cover will cut total Damage taken in half (applies after Reaction roll but before Armor).

If the Outcome is positive, your blast hits everything within 25 feet of the chosen Location with Damage equal to your Outcome + 4. Armor is fully effective against this damage.

  • You can target yourself if you qualify as a valid target by the other requirements.
  • Your target must be within line of sight, or within range of another sense if more fitting for the Gift's flavor.

Exert your Mind and spend an Action. Select a Location within 1050 feet. This Effect cannot be used unless The Bizarre Bazaar is active. Roll a single d10, Difficulty 4. If you fail or botch, the Effect fails and you cannot activate it again for an hour. The area within 50 feet of the chosen Location immediately and obviously becomes imminently dangerous. Anyone in the area has 2 Rounds to attempt to escape. After 2 Rounds, on your next Initiative, roll Perception + Alertness at Difficulty 6.

If the Outcome is positive, your blast hits everything within 50 feet of the chosen Location with Damage equal to your Outcome + 6.

Any object destroyed or individual killed in your blast turns to dust. Any parts of structures within your blast radius are destroyed and cannot bear a load or block movement. Your blast leaves a 15 foot deep crater in the ground and deals +1 Damage.

Anyone who witnesses you during this Effect's activation will almost certainly be disturbed to see the massive explosion, upsetting anybody with the Atrocities limit.

  • When narrating disturbing content, be cognizant of your group's tone and accommodating to those who would like to "fast forward" through the description.
  • If this Effect fails due to the Unreliable check, you must still pay any associated activation costs.
  • You can target yourself if you qualify as a valid target by the other requirements.
  • Your target must be within line of sight, or within range of another sense if more fitting for the Gift's flavor.

This Artifact can be used as a handgun. It is roughly the same size as a handgun and just as difficult to conceal.

Attack by rolling Dexterity + Firearms, Difficulty 6. Successful attacks deal Contested Outcome +4 Weapon Damage.

This item is a living thing. When targeted, it counts as a Living Creature in addition to its other target types. If destroyed or abandoned for more than two days, it dies and becomes unusable.

You also gain the following effects:

  • Infinite Ammo: This weapon never runs out of its standard ammunition.
  • You may spend a Quick Action to change this firearm's base stats into those of any other basic firearm.
  • Silencer: The report of any shots you fire may be made silent at will.
  • Silent Killer: If your shot would kill or incapacitate your target, they make no sound, even incidentally, for the next Round.

  • Changing this weapon's base type affects its range, Weapon Damage, concealability, and roll. Other mechanics of the chosen base firearm (such as the tripod requirement for sniper rifles) apply.
  • Reminder: additional Weapon Damage granted by this Effect does not stack with any other bonus to Weapon Damage. Instead the largest bonus is used.
  • Rifles are +1 Difficulty to use in melee range. Sniper Rifles are +3 Difficulty to use without a tripod or in melee range. Setting up a tripod takes an Action.
