Nowadays you can't go a day without some phony prophet trying to peddle their wares to you.
Driven by the increased interest in the supernatural, charlatans from palm readers to televangelists are everywhere. And while the vast majority of witches, psychics, magicians, hypnotists, cures, potions, faith healers, and clairvoyants are complete fakes, they do make a living.
As the saying goes, "it's easier for an actor to make it in alternative medicine than Hollywood."
Most people scoff at these clearly-phony supernatural services, yet those same people often buy into at least one scam.
The most dangerous charlatans are the self-styled monster hunters who carry a mall-ninja arsenal and guns with silver bullets. Most have never encountered anything supernatural and do absolutely nothing besides burn some sage and patrol the area for a night or two. Even so, those who are superstitious, fearful, or desperate enough will hire them to solve the problems they simply don't understand. In some cases with disastrous results.
For Contractors, charlatans are red herrings and obstacles. Clumsy fakes that conjure a smokescreen of misinformation and escalate the situations they're in.

Sometimes the universe undergoes...corrections to re-balance the laws of order. Heightened senses are a small adjustment for an individual who has undergone an excessive amount of karmic injustice as it were.
You gain the following benefits at all times.
Your senses are enhanced in the following way.
- Sight: You can see things that are up to a mile away as though you were only standing twenty feet away, provided your view is unobstructed.
- Touch: You can identify any material with a touch and immediately find what you are looking for when rummaging, assuming it is actually present. You may withdraw items from your bags with a Quick Action instead of an Action.
Any senses which have been heightened cannot be overloaded. Battle Scars you receive cannot affect these senses.
Possession of this Power grants the following Battle Scar: Weak Stomach.
- Examples of overloading a sense include: an explosion causing temporary deafness, a bright light causing blindness, a sedative causing numbness, etc.
- “Rummaging" means digging through trash, finding a needle in a haystack, etc.

The city’s a tapestry of smells, each one telling a story—who was here, what they touched, what they left behind. Blood, sweat, lies, and fear all have a distinct aroma, and Myles can’t ignore them even if he tries.
And then there’s his sight. If he locks in, he can read a license plate from a rooftop across town or catch the subtle twitch in a suspect’s expression from a mile away. The trick is holding focus—like a wolf on the hunt, narrowing in on the prey, filtering out the noise of the world.
But heightened senses come at a cost. When he tunes in too deep, the rest of the world fades. If he’s tracking a scent, he might not hear the footsteps creeping up behind him. If he’s staring into the distance, he might not see what’s right in front of him. The gift of the hunt is powerful—but in the wrong moment, it can be a dangerous distraction.
You gain the following benefits at all times.

- Smell: Your nose is highly sensitive and can differentiate between scents the way a dog can, as well as recognize things you have smelled before.
- Sight: You can see things that are up to a mile away as though you were only standing twenty feet away, provided your view is unobstructed.
Any heightened senses require you to maintain Concentration to use, and do not apply to any passive Perception checks.
Ultra Instinct Omen
Fuck being a super saiyan just use UI. Being in this form allows you to see and instinctively dodge every attack no matter what. Lasts for 5 Turns and after that you will be unable to move for the next 5 turns unless you get healed by someone else.

- Sight: You can see things that are up to a mile away as though you were only standing twenty feet away, provided your view is unobstructed.
Any senses which have been heightened cannot be overloaded. Battle Scars you receive cannot affect these senses. If one of these senses does become suppressed, you may Exert your Mind to end the effect.
You may only use this Effect once per day.

Static Gaze
When sparks fly, I see more than just the light; every current tells a story.

Aimé has wonderful smell, being able to differentiate between scents easily. As well as this, he has mastered echolocation.

- Hearing: You are capable of perceiving physical shapes via sound. You must produce a Clicking noises to “ping” with your echolocation each Round you wish to use it.

The beastmaster closes their eyes and channels nature's bloody struggle for survival. When their eyes reopen, they catch the light and glow red like a dog's. While in this heightened state, they may sense heat signatures and triangulate the tiniest sound.

- Thermal: You are able to "see" heat signatures within your line of sight.
- Hearing: You automatically know the origin location of any sound you hear, and you can tell which Action caused the sound.
- Your thermal vision allows you to judge temperatures of surfaces fairly accurately as long as they are within livable temperatures.
