(During Effect activation, you are obviously examining the target object. You must actively and obviously be using Writing Surface.)

Luci's shadow borrows from the infinite knowledge of the Umbral plane and guides foolish Luci's hand and expressing thr information through a form of art that is decipherable to her through drawing out details and whispering in her ear. Information on how to use the object come in the form of schematics. Individuals who have recently used this object are sketched alongside it. Whether the object is alien in origin is specified in the schematics.

Spend a minute to activate. Select a target Object within arm's reach. You must actively and obviously use Writing Surface to activate this Effect. Make a Trauma roll when you activate this Effect. At the end of your investigation, roll Perception + Crafts at Difficulty 6.

You learn all the following information about your target:

  • Determine if this target is Alien in origin or whether it has any Alien energy or outside influences.
  • You receive a visual description telling you who has used this object recently.
  • You learn the object's intended function and how to use it for its intended purpose, though not necessarily the ability to do so.
The quality and specificity of information gained depends on your Outcome.

This Gift's Cost is capped at 2 and cannot be increased further.

After you finish activating this Effect, you cannot move quicker than a walk (max 15 feet per Round) for one minute and suffer a -1 dice penalty for an hour.

Exert your Mind and spend a minute. Select a target Object within arm's reach. You must use up a pound of Plant matter in order to activate this Effect. At the end of your investigation, roll Intellect + Occult at Difficulty 6.

You learn all the following information about your target:

  • Determine if this target is Alien in origin or whether it has any Alien energy or outside influences. You receive information about the type of energy, including the name of the relevant Source pool or equivalent. You determine the effect of any active Alien energy detected, and you get an idea as to the sorts of ways that latent Alien energy may be channeled by the target.
The quality and specificity of information gained depends on your Outcome.

You cannot investigate the same target more than once per day.

  • You can target yourself if you qualify as a valid target by the other requirements.
  • Your target must be within line of sight, or within range of another sense if more fitting for the Gift's flavor.

The casted ray will bounce on the surface revealing fingerprints or any trail left from the previous user, this is digitalized, processed and analyzed to determine who its previous user was based on a databased maintained with the people linked to current contract

  • You receive fingerprints telling you who has used this object recently.

Anyone who witnesses you during this Effect's activation will almost certainly be disturbed to see rotten tentacles spread out of his arm and wrap around the object.

David has walked through the Realms of Death many times, and spoken with many of the dead. Shades are starting to be drawn to him. Where another medium would be ignored by the dead, David’s rituals draw attention, even when they are done with such non-potent materials as commonplace Ouji boards. Unlike Blavatsky, whose earlier teachings inspire him, David does claim to speak with the dead, rather than other entities (Blavatsky was notably strange for her time for claiming that unlike other mediums the intelligences she consulted with were things other than ghosts).
