Allowing himself to directly mindlink with the server in his home allows him to think on a level beyond normal people, parallel thought processing independent of anything and everything related to his physical body. Though it does require him to squint with the cybernetic eye in question resulting in a visible telescoping of the iris but hey. Nothing's free.

You gain the following benefits as long as you have your cybernetic eye.

Your Intellect rating is increased by 1. You may Exert your Mind to automatically gain an Outcome of 5 on any roll that uses Intellect (Cannot be used on combat rolls or Power activations).

If you are witnessed actively using this Effect, whoever sees it can make a Perception + Alertness roll at Difficulty 6. A complete success reveals the source of your power.

You also gain the following effects:

  • Multithreaded: Instead of being unable to take Actions while maintaining Concentration, you may now take Actions at a -2 dice penalty. You may maintain Concentration from two different Effects, but you are unable to take Actions when doing so.
  • Quick Thinking: Any Intellect rolls other than Power activations are made as Free Actions. You get +2 dice to all Initiative rolls.

  • Being Injured or interrupted in some way can still break your Concentration.
  • If your cybernetic eye is damaged, destroyed, or lost, you lose all benefits from this Effect for the next two months, or until you can recover any relevant missing items (which may involve a side-game and requires a GM to approve whatever process is used).
  • Attribute bonuses from multiple sources do not stack. Instead the highest bonus is used.

Community Mythic Intellect Gifts

Hax built his own mind, and occasionally upgrades it. The first change was to run a bit faster now that he is running on a new substrate.

You gain the following benefits at all times.

Your Intellect rating is increased by 0. You may Exert your Mind to automatically gain an Outcome of 5 on any roll that uses Intellect (Cannot be used on combat rolls or Power activations).

You also gain the following effects:

  • Quick Thinking: Any Intellect rolls other than Power activations are made as Free Actions. You get +2 dice to all Initiative rolls.

  • Attribute bonuses from multiple sources do not stack. Instead the highest bonus is used.

You gain the following benefits at all times.

Your Intellect rating is increased by 1. You may Exert your Mind to automatically gain an Outcome of 5 on any roll that uses Intellect (Cannot be used on combat rolls or Power activations).

Possession of this Power grants the following Trauma at all times: Nyctophobia.

  • Quick Thinking: Any Intellect rolls other than Power activations are made as Free Actions. You get +2 dice to all Initiative rolls.
  • Insufferable Know-It-All: Any social rolls you make are at +1 Difficulty, and if someone else can answer an informational question or solve a puzzle before you do, make a Trauma roll. The Difficulty of this Trauma roll cannot be reduced by any means.

  • If your smug, gray eyes which flicker with the silvery vision of an infinite e̶l̴d̷r̸i̴t̸c̵h̶ expanse is damaged, destroyed, or lost, you lose all benefits from this Effect for the next two months.

The source of Anthony's preternatural genius is not his own - it is the Lord. Through his brand, the Lord offers visions and insights to Anthony: never anything precise or anything complete, but enough that they allow him to make leaps of logic impossible to normal people, and to think, act, and respond quicker than is humanly possible, as his thoughts are completed by the Lord in the same span as he has them. The knowledge almost always comes in metaphor or visions, never direct conclusions, and serves less to provide completely new information to Anthony than to highlight details or make connections between things he already knows, but would be unable to combine on his own.

Your Intellect rating is increased by 1. You may Exert your Mind to automatically gain an Outcome of 5 on any roll that uses Intellect (Cannot be used on combat rolls or Power activations).

Possession of this Power grants the following Trauma at all times: Obligate Savior: You must roll Self Control in order to break one of your limits.

If you are witnessed actively using this Effect, whoever sees it can make a Perception + Alertness roll at Difficulty 6. A complete success reveals the source of your power.

You also gain the following effects:

  • Brilliant Deduction: You may spend five minutes pondering an enigma, puzzle, or mystery, and roll Intellect at Difficulty 8. Success will reveal a clue or other tidbit that you have otherwise missed. Limit once per enigma.

  • Wait For Your Moment: You may take your Action on the turn of anyone who has a lower Initiative than you. If you do, you receive +2 dice to that roll.
