The user must place their hand upon the cover of the sketchbook and utter these words, "Hear my call. Pierce The Well and Manifest The Hollow Choir." They then must rip their hand away and swing it over their head. A flood of ink will erupt from the sketchbook like a harsh ocean storm wave and surge around the user. It does not wash people away when it crashes over them, but it will completely bathe them in total darkness, where all light is swallowed up and destroyed.
Those within will be able to hear the low droning groans of those that had died seeking perfection.
Those that are unfortunate enough to be close enough to see the user as they activate this effect will meet eyes with one of The Well's Eidolons. And take it from Luci herself, that is no fun experience.
This is an ability that Luci has had access to for some time- to open a wide portal connected directly to The Well. It was and still is a requirement each time she has to craft an artifact or upgrade an item, but she had conceded the process to dangerous to use outside of a controlled space, such as her tree house in the Imp's Bog. Well, sometimes, drastic times call for drastic measures.
This power is mainly used as a per-requisite for accessing some of the other effects on this sketchbook- some effects that are simply just too weak not to be able to use while not actively bathed in The Well. But sometimes, in a pinch, it can be used offensively.
At the very least, though, Luci had to limit the exposure of its effects in order to be able to copy this ability onto her sketchbook and control it at her own whim, or at least while she has control of her sketchbook.

You may end this Effect prematurely as a Free Action.
Anyone who witnesses you during this Effect's activation will almost certainly be disturbed to see an Eidolon of the Well. The act of meddling with other planes of existence does not come without some undesired side effects. Sometimes, when peering through the veil with the intent to make use of its energies, something stares back and imparts upon the onlooker a warning of disorienting magnitude. Requires an Anguish Roll.

This is a power that Luci could not hope to wield, even with Ena's help. No, it is Ena herself who is solely capable of something so cataclysmic in scale and even then, she can only do so on the backing of specific conditions. There is only a small window in which Ena can amass the power to rip open a one-way portal from the Well:
- Luci's alternate form, Ena, must be triggered and active.
Whereafter, Ena clasps their hands together and chants with a wide smile upon her face. Ink surges out from beneath her feet in vast quantities, using it as a medium to jump start the portal that leads to the Well. And once it takes, the flow becomes a cascade that surges forth in large quantities, working rather quickly to rapidly fill out a large space. Along with the hazy darkness comes a dizzying feeling of being upside down and inside out. The air is thick and suffocating, and slows the mind. An uncountable number of creatures from oblivion reach out of the refuse, touching, grabbing, pulling, biting, scratching, clawing, crawling, and gnashing like mindless beasts.

Anyone who witnesses you during this Effect's activation will almost certainly be disturbed to see Umbra's pure and sinister adversarial intent. It's almost as if a heavy pressure of immeasurable magnitude slowly dawns onto those around. All of her uncontainable intent to burn the world to the ground, backed by the insatiable hunger of the Well at her fingertips. And there is nothing to exemplify that more than with this ability.
You may only use this Effect once per day.

The artifact faintly glows when it comes into contact with bare skin. It is either frigid or warm, but no one can tell.
The tip of the Rain Drop sprays out regular water until it forms a 60 ft dome of falling rain. It’s just wet and unpleasant in general.
On the usage:
Contact with any skin works, so Delphyrion tends to hold it with a glove. At some point they were using it as a paperweight, only for it to activate when they tried to move it. Soaked documents were not fun to replace, but thank goodness there weren't any water-reactive chemicals exposed. Delphyrion also intended to use this artifact as a hand warmer or cooler during winters and summers respectively, but their indecisiveness led to the artifact being both warm and cool.
On the shape:
Delphyrion has no idea why this artifact is so unwieldy, nor why it resembles an ice cube. Its raindrop shape means it doesn't stand up properly most of the time, though thank goodness it doesn't roll off tables. They haven't tested the durability, but they'd rather not risk unleashing any magical leakage on the world yet.
On dihydrogen monoxide:
Portable water is always useful especially when traveling by plane, though at some point people have started to think that Delphyrion is carrying an extremely deadly poison called dihydrogen monoxide. Often they decide to play into this, though it has gotten them into trouble at the airport. Thankfully the officers always wear gloves when inspecting it, so they end up concluding that it's simply a big blob of glass and that Delphyrion is onto nothing. How dare people call them a charlatan!
On impracticality:
Normally people tend to choose more immediately useful gifts, perhaps for healing or damage. Delphyrion, upon being asked about what power they'd need, was thinking about the amount of times they'd wished it was raining outside. It isn't for work-related reasons; clear days are much better for outdoor experiments and camera exposure. In fact the extra moisture would mess up certain reactions instead. Basically, Delphyrion sometimes wants it to rain so they could sit by the window with a book and a warm beaker of tea to romanticize life. It is a little odd to do so in a lab, not to mention they haven't needed rain in their contracts so far.
However, everything Delphyrion does is inefficient anyway; what's one more inconvenience?
At least they are now saved from a long and grueling trip to the sink.

The zone is a pure white area of just cameras, mics, props and a massive studio set, from the outside, nothing is going on, it looks like a basic Hollywood or high-budget Mr Beast video. If noticed, the ridges of the dome gleam an unnatural domed-out white shape. The user is taking a landscape photo, refilling the camera with camera film as they do so.
