The guise of humanity is dropped. Panels open up and heat starts radiating from the core. All pretence of humanity drains from my eyes as limiters are disengaged. All power diverted to combat systems.
Zeta's limiters are dropped and extra radiators protrude from Zeta's back. The excessive heat melts the flesh and burns the cloths on Zeta's body revealing a mechanical nightmare that was hiding underneath.
Zeta's metal skeletal structure elongates to provide more leverage. The hands are revealed to be serrated claws. Zeta's now revealed chrome skull splits in half and the melted flesh drips away to reveal more mechanical eyes that over her entire head. Tooth caps fall away to reveal rows of sharp, pointy teeth.
Steam shoots out from under Zeta's revealed ribcage and bellows around her feet. Zeta's thigh bones split in two as they're revealed to be double and reverse jointed to provide greater maneuverability.
Zeta only has one thing left to say before the voice box is shutdown as it's power is diverted to combat prowess.
"Targets Acquired"
Exert your Mind and spend an Action. Whenever you fail or botch a Trauma or Self-Control roll, you must activate this Effect.
You transform into Battle Mode for 3 minutes. You have access to all of your Powers while you are Battle Mode, and you can use your equipment. Your Battle Scars, Injuries, and physical Liabilities are carried over between forms. Reverting from your Alternate Form cannot cause your existing Injuries to kill you. Instead, you remain Incapacitated.
While transformed, your Brawn is increased by 1, your Dexterity is increased by 1, and your Perception is increased by 1. You do not suffer any Stress while transformed.
Your alternate form is its own deadly weapon. Unarmed attacks made in your alternate form deal +3 Weapon Damage (instead of the typical -1).
Anyone who witnesses you during this Effect's activation or for its duration will almost certainly be disturbed to see Obviously a murder Machine.
Your alternate form renders you unable to speak any human language and incapable of fine object manipulation. You can only hold or grasp objects in a crude, clumsy way.
Whenever you enter Combat, roll Self-Control. If you fail, you cannot choose which targets to attack and cannot stop fighting until there are no targets remaining.
After attaching the frame to their torso, the user must activate and sync the arm's internal operative systems with the neurological activity responsible for their own limbs-- requiring extensive input from the mind, voice, and body. The golden circuitry running across the chassis ripple with energy during this process. While in use, its origami folds are able to stretch, bend, and morph to fit the user's desired movements.
The calibration sequence to connect the arm requires the user to move around their joints (shoulders, elbows, and wrists) and read aloud a pangram (ex: "The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog").
The systems powering and controlling the arm are an intricate mix of various power sources all synchronizing together. Specifically, they are the culmination of its creator taking influence from his peers, a spatial mage and technomancer, to achieve the final result of a fully functional additional limb.
These include arm's handcrafted, moving folds (of which three are responsible for the core joint movement of a shoulder/elbow/wrist), the golden circuits that connect to the user's mind (branching into a sprawling, fractal pattern across the arm and acting as a signal booster/receiver for all the energy), and the internal technological programming (which are carefully integrated to run with the rest of the arm's systems).
The use of a pangram enables the internal systems to more easily find specific parts of the brain to connect to and the movement of the joints calibrate the arm's motions as well.
The arm's three primary folds, alongside the three sources of power (magic, technology, and clockwork-level crafting), serve as a double entendre inspiring the gift's final name.
Expend a point of Battery and spend two Actions performing the following ritual: activating and calibrating the arms with the user. You must maintain Concentration while activating this Effect, and it fails if you are interrupted.
You gain an additional limb that functions as a standard human arm and hand. Lasts two hours.
Each additional limb you posses can take one Quick Action per Round without incurring a -2 dice penalty to your main Action. Each additional appendage you have gives you +1 dice to make and resist Grapples (up to a maximum bonus of +4 dice).
Any Battle Scars that affect or remove your additional limb will heal in a single week.
Your appendage is capable of bending and squishing in normally-impossible ways. It may fit through any gap that is not water-tight and retain its functionality.
Your extra appendage can stretch to reach an additional 30 feet.
Your extra appendage is not connected to your nervous or circulatory systems, and you will not take damage if it is hit by an attack or destroyed.
Your Extra Appendage counts as an object and can be hacked or targeted by any Powers that affect objects or machines. Injuries to your Extra Appendage cannot be healed by Powers that affect living things but may be repaired during Downtime.
Prismatic Reforge harnesses crystal light's infinite potential to break down and reorganize matter, fabricating objects from seemingly nothing. By channeling her vast intellect and source energy, Jessica manipulates reality at a fundamental level. When activated, impossible colors writhe from her fingertips and eyes, forming a corona discharge of swirling hues that break down nearby matter into gathering light particles. These ethereal strands weave through the air, coalescing into the desired object as reality bends to her will. The process is accompanied by an unsettling hum that resonates from everywhere and nowhere. While mesmerizing, crystal light manifestations can be psychologically damaging, inducing seizures, triggering hallucinations, and instilling profound feelings of dread and persecution in witnesses.
Activation of the Radiant Reforge triggers the "Monsters" limit, suffusing the area with an otherworldly, prismatic glow that unsettles the mind and warps perception and reality, evoking the cosmic horror of colors beyond mortal perception: for Jessica's character concept, crystalline light is an independent alien intelligence (Inspired by "The Color of Madness" from Darkest Dungeon, Remiel from "Neon Genesis Evangelion", and "The Colour Out of Space" by H.P. Lovecraft)
Exert your Mind and spend an Action.
Choose an Object which could fit inside a regular backpack (up to 27 liters). It must be Non-Alien and generic. You cannot create explosives. You cannot create firearms.
Roll Intellect + Science to fabricate up to 5 copies of your chosen Object. The Difficulty is assigned by the GM and depends on the specificity of your chosen Object. Your created items no longer expire, and will last until they are destroyed.
Anyone who witnesses you during this Effect's activation or for its duration will almost certainly be disturbed to see your eyes glow with unearthly light as your skin ripples with shifting, iridescent patterns. The air distorts around you, causing momentary hallucinations of impossible geometries. Objects appear to melt and reform in ways that defy natural laws, instilling a deep, instinctual dread in observers (triggers ''Monsters''; - see Extended Description).
The suit begins to move faster, and the glow from the Defensive Focus begins to glow around the entire suit. As it moves and fights, pieces of it are teleported on and off as needed, being replaced with spares or fortified by Ware's EDT in real-time.
The suit senses the panic of the wearer, and asks a simple question:
Disable Limiters?
Y/N
After agreement is given, it plugs directly into the user's system in various places throughout the body, directly overriding and supplementing the signals from their brain. This process is... not pleasant. It could, however, be the difference between life and death.
Increase your sacrificial Injury's Severity by 1 and spend a Quick Action. You must make a Trauma roll when you use this Effect. Its Difficulty cannot be reduced by any means. If you fail or Botch, you receive one Mind Damage and a new Trauma.
You transform into a WareSuit in Overdrive Protocol Mode for 3 minutes. You have access to all of your Powers while you are a WareSuit in Overdrive Protocol Mode, and you can use your equipment. Your Battle Scars, Injuries, and physical Liabilities are carried over between forms. Reverting from your Alternate Form cannot cause your existing Injuries to kill you. Instead, you remain Incapacitated.
While transformed, your Brawn is increased by 3 and your Dexterity is increased by 3. You do not suffer any Stress while transformed.
After this Effect ends, you cannot move quicker than a walk (15 feet per Round) for one minute and suffer a -1 dice penalty for an hour.
You may only use this Effect once per day.
If you do not have a sacrificial Injury when you activate this Effect, take a new Severity-1 Injury.
Consumed matter is preserved inside the body and can be spat back out
Spend an Action.
You may withdraw an item from your stash, or add an item that is within arm’s reach to your stash. You may only stash targets which are in your possession, grappled, or otherwise controlled by you.
You may store any targets in your stash, each no larger than something which could fit inside a briefcase (15 liters), and you may store up to 3 things at a time.
Animate targets may Resist being stashed. You must Exert your Mind to stash Sapient targets.
Whenever you withdraw an Object from your Stash, you must immediately Stash another object to replace it. You may only stash objects you are attuned to. Attuning an object requires one minute of physical contact.
The light around Freya is bent to obscure her shape, making her blend into the background of where she might be.
It is most effective against complex backgrounds.
Exert your Mind and spend an Action.
You and everything you are carrying is obscured in one of the following manners. Lasts 30 minutes.
While this Effect is active, any Effect that would obscure you or your equipment specifically from other, additional senses fails automatically.
If someone discovers you, this Effect will not help you hide from them for the next minute. This Effect does not end early when you activate an obvious Effect, attack, or receive an Injury.
You may turn this Effect on and off at will during its duration.
The magician dons an unusual piece of clothing and immediately shifts their appearance to be completely different! However, they must reveal their true identity before they can cast any more spells.
Exert your Mind and spend 2 Actions. You must actively and obviously use a piece of clothing you wouldn't normally wear to activate this Effect.
You become disguised in a manner of your choosing. The disguise lasts for two hours, or you may end it early at will.
The new appearance may have a different sex, age, and race to your own, and you may alter height by up to a foot and your weight by 50%. Your disguise cannot directly mimic an existing person. You may change the appearance of your outfit. A disguise cannot affect your Attributes or other stats.
You may roll Charisma + Crafts to attempt to make your disguise Beautiful. If your Outcome is 6 or higher, non-Effect Charisma rolls where your good looks could help are rolled at -2 Difficulty. If you fail or botch, you are ugly instead, and non-Effect Charisma rolls are made at +2 Difficulty.
This Effect ends if you take an Injury or are stunned or incapacitated.
While disguised, you cannot use any Activated or Targeted Powers.
Any successful musician knows the value of a good roadie. The musician calls for a roadie, and one will promptly arrive. The roadie doesn't talk much, and they aren't too bright, but they can sure haul gear.
After a couple hours of work, the roadie will retire to smoke and get some sleep.
Exert your Mind and spend an Action.
Summon a single Sapient roadie at your location. They last for two hours or until they are destroyed. They are controlled by the GM but will follow any commands you give. You may have at most one minion active at a time.
You may only use this Effect once per day.
The aquamancer spends a minute soaking their wounds in at least a gallon of water. During this time, the injured area is obviously absorbing the liquid, and the flesh visibly knits back together.
Exert your Mind and spend 1 minute. You must use up at least a gallon of water in order to activate this Effect. Choose a specific Injury on yourself that has not yet been treated with this Effect and roll Brawn + Survival at Difficulty 6.
If you succeed, the Injury is reduced in Severity by your Outcome. If you reduce its Severity to 0, the Injury is fully healed. Otherwise, it is partially healed and will heal the rest of the way at its natural rate.
This counts as a successful Makeshift Stabilization if the Injury was not already Stabilized; any Battle Scars caused by the Injury will remain.
If the Selkie's seal skin is worn close to the body, any contact with salt water will cause them to transform into a seal. While transformed, they have full access to their normal suite of Powers.
This Effect activates whenever you are submerged in salt water. It does not require an Action or Exertion. Your target should be intuitively based on the triggering event.
You transform into small for two hours or until you choose to end the Effect. See the Extended System text for stats.
While transformed, you cannot use any equipment (including Artifacts and Consumables), and you cannot use your Active, Targeted, or Trap Powers. However, you can use your Passive Powers. Any equipment you are wearing transforms with you.
Injuries and Wound Level are carried over between forms. However, transforming can never kill you; you merely remain Incapacitated until your Injuries are sufficiently healed.
The Necromancer stands over a corpse and makes a series of grandiose lifting gestures. The corpse rises from the ground as though suspended by invisible strings, barks a pained groan, and lands on its feet, now a full-fledged member of the living dead.
Increase your sacrificial Injury's Severity by 1 and spend an Action. You must use up corpse in order to activate this Effect.
Summon up to 3 Non-Sapient, Animate zombie at your location. They last for two hours or until they are destroyed. They are controlled by the GM but will follow any commands you give. You may have at most 3 minions active at a time.
