The way it fabricates is unnatural causing nanites in his hands to force them opensuck the object in and rearranging the molecular structure to turn the item into what he needs then pushing the item out and cauterizing the wound causing his burns.

Exert your Mind (unless you win a coin flip) and spend 1 minute to activate. You must use up Something Of Equal Weight in order to activate this Effect.

Choose an Object which could fit inside a messenger bag (up to 10 liters). It cannot be Alien and must be relatively basic. You cannot create explosives. You may create firearms.

Roll Intellect + Technology to fabricate your chosen Object. The Difficulty is assigned by the GM and depends on the specificity of your chosen Object. Created item lasts 1 hour.

You may keep up to three fabricated objects at a time that do not expire after an hour.

Anyone who witnesses you during this Effect's activation or for its duration will almost certainly be disturbed to see The way it fabricates is unnatural causing nanites in his hands to force them open suck the object in and rearranging the molecular structure to turn the item into what he needs then pushing the item out and cauterizing the wound causing his burns.

Possession of this Power grants the following Battle Scar: Major Burn Scars on Hands.

  • If you want to make a new object which doesn't expire and you already have 3, you must choose one of those three and let it expire. You can still fabricate temporary items when you are maxed out on permanent ones.
  • When narrating disturbing content, be cognizant of your group's tone and accommodating to those who would like to "fast forward" through the description.
  • You can fabricate a container of something so long as it contains a single type of thing (such as a tank of water) or it is designed to be packaged together (such as a first aid kit).
  • For setting the difficulty for the fabrication roll, something like a "shirt" would be difficulty 5, whereas "Police uniform" would be difficulty 9. The Outcome determines overall quality and how well the item fits the request.

Daniel has started to find a way to protect himself when things go bad. He is not much of a fighter so his shielding does the help for him. a blue ball that is encoded in sigil and Druidic runes. Very obvious and bright.

Exert your Mind and spend an Action to activate. You must actively and obviously use Watch to activate this Effect. Roll Intellect + Culture at Difficulty 6.

If you succeed, you create a Barrier around yourself, which absorbs the next Outcome + 2 Damage. Half the damage absorbed is reflected back at the attacker, which they can Defend against as normal. The Damage reduction from the Barrier is applied before Armor, and is treated like Armor by any effects such as Armor Penetration. You may only have 1 active barrier at a time.

You must maintain Concentration while using this Effect. The Barrier will fall if you are interrupted, or if it absorbs the full amount of damage. When a Barrier falls, you cannot use this Effect again for a minimum of 2 Rounds. As long as it does not fall, the barrier regenerates back to full strength at the end of each Round of combat.

After this Effect ends, you cannot move quicker than a walk for one minute and suffer a -1 dice penalty for an hour.

Due to Bill's investigative past, he has gained the supernatural ability to know when someone is lying to him. When the power is active the target makes a buzzer sound when they tell a lie. They are only effected when the response is a direct response to the question asked.

Exert your Mind and spend a minute to activate. Select a Sapient target within arm's reach. At the end of your investigation, roll Brawn + Alertness at Difficulty 6.

You learn all the following information about your target:

  • You learn You know if the target is lying.
  • You determine any major weaknesses that the target might have.

The quality and specificity of information gained depends on your Outcome.

  • Weakness Must be things that are systemed around. For example, silver for a werewolf. Not general like "she's bad at fighting".
  • You can target yourself if you qualify as a valid target by the other requirements.

At one time, Amaryllis's arms were normal, unscarred, and white as a dove. She would wrestle with her brothers, surrounded by soft and fluffy couches, plug protected outlets, and edge protected tables. They were safe, mostly, until one gave another a shallow scratch with their fingernail. From even a single scrape, the children would ruin rugs and throw pillows as the Fleischer Family Curse took its toll, forcing them to make a sizable plasma donation to the house. They all knew the risks, of course, they had the band-aids and medical bandages on hand to stop the bleeding. They continued their roughhousing beyond earshot of their parents...

Amaryllis's mother, Dahlia, knew the truth of their family's curse. She understood that time was running short as Sorin had already passed away years before. She and her husband studied the occult, making a fortune by reading futures, holding seances, and investigating hauntings. The greatest ritual they ever developed was one to break their curse. She knew Amaryllis, the first-born, would need to be saved first, as soon as possible, before she followed Death to meet her husband.

Something was not right, Amaryllis had passed out early in the bloodletting phase of the ritual. She struggled against her bindings and exasperated the new cuts on her wrists. The long gashes and otherworldly lettering on her arms wept until they went blue. Dahlia completed the runes and smeared a circle in blood around her daughter before realizing that the ritual was faulty. She then realized that her baby girl was on Death's door. She rushed Amaryllis to the hospital in heavy bandages, but her body would refuse to close her wounds. Dahlia would die a year later, consumed by the knowledge that the ritual failed.

She was wrong.

You gain the following benefits at all times.

Your Body and Mind Penalties are reduced to 0.

Green beams of light shoot from the users eyes, causing a reaction similar to sulfuric acid concentrated on the point where it hits. The consistent focus of the lasers can burn through many objects and melt through metals, given enough time.

Spend an Action to activate. Select a target within 300 feet. Make a Trauma roll when you activate this Effect. Roll Perception + Alertness Difficulty 6. The target may contest by rolling to Dodge or Defend as a Reaction, Difficulty 6.

If the contested Outcome is positive, the target takes that much damage plus 1. Armor is fully effective against this damage.

You may use this Effect to Defend or Clash in Combat, including against ranged attacks such as firearms.

This Gift's level is capped at 2 Gifts and cannot be increased further.

  • You can target yourself if you qualify as a valid target by the other requirements.

The Technician can hack any mundane piece of technology, granting access to its informational stores, or, in a pinch, allowing them to issue commands. The hacked system will display a flickering image of a ghost until it is dismissed.

While hacking, The Technician's fingers move with supernatural speed, seeming to blur in a ghostlike fashion.

Exert your Mind and spend 1 minute to activate. Select a Computer within arm's reach. Does not work on Alien technology. Roll Intellect + Technology, with the Difficulty set by the GM depending on the security of the system you are hacking. Sapient targets can resist by rolling Mind at Difficulty 6. The hacking roll and their defensive roll are both Difficulty 6.

If you succeed, you may issue a single command to the targeted system. This command must have a specific outcome or be a request for specific login credentials. The command you issue must be within the machine's current capabilities. For example, you cannot order a standard security camera to grow legs and walk around.

If your command does not require bypassing the security of the target (for example, typing on a computer that is unlocked), you do not need to Exert your Mind to activate this Effect.

Every hack you make leaves behind a flickering image of a ghost in the system as a personal "calling card" that informs anyone who uses the system that the hack occurred.

When the Vampire's lust for blood is satiated, their injuries heal at a remarkably fast rate and new injuries are quickly stabilized. While healing, the Vampire's skin retains its deathly pale appearance, as any blood he consumes is being used to repair his wounds.

You gain the following benefits as long as as long as you have drank a half gallon (lethal) amount of blood in the past 24 hours.

Any Injury you receive heals quickly, reducing its Severity by one level each day, starting once it becomes stabilized. Battle Scars caused by your Injuries will remain.

The Vampire is able to turn one of their victims into a lesser vampire, a pale shadow of a full creature of the night but useful nonetheless. Having drained and killed their target, the Vampire performs a brief ritualistic bloodletting, wherein they spill their own blood into the target's mouth, forcing them to drink, and bonding them together as child and sire.

Shortly afterwards, the fledgling vampire will rise from death, hungry for blood and eager to serve.

Take a Severity-1 Injury and spend an Action to activate. Select a Dead target within arm's reach that has died within the last hour. This Effect cannot be used unless you drained the target's blood while they were still alive.

Your target rises as an Animate being. The raised creature is totally mindless, with no memory of its past life or hint of its old personality. They can communicate as they would have been able to in life. They will follow any command you speak.

The creature lasts until it dies again. It is revived at full health. Any Injuries it had in life are not accounted for when determining its penalties or progression towards re-death, though they may affect its ability to perform certain actions at GM's discretion. The raised creature must consume human blood every day or it will die again.

Raised creatures have their Abilities set to the same that they were in life. Their Charisma and Intellect are set to 1, but their Dexterity, Brawn and Perception are the same as they had in life. A raised creature cannot use any Effects.

Anyone who witnesses you during this Effect's activation will almost certainly be disturbed to see the Vampire draining blood from a body's neck, and feeding his own blood in turn to that same body.

  • The creature will die at the end of any 24 hour period gone without consuming their specified diet, and it is important that this growing desperation is reflected in how they are roleplayed.
  • When narrating disturbing content, be cognizant of your group's tone and accommodating to those who would like to "fast forward" through the description.
  • You can target yourself if you qualify as a valid target by the other requirements.

The Slime possesses a goopy pseudopod that can be extended from any part of their body. This pseudopod is not as dexterous as a hand, but it can reach up to 30 feet and squeeze through tight areas. If damaged or destroyed, the Slime can regrow it in a couple days.

The Slime's skin is always a little goopy and shiny, even when the pseudopod is hidden. Any clothes it tries to wear become quickly damp and slimy, and the pseudopod never fully retracts, so clothing won't fit properly in the first place.

You gain the following benefits at all times.

You gain an additional limb that functions as a standard human arm and hand.

Each additional limb you posses can take one Quick Action per Round without incurring a -2 dice penalty to your main Action. Any Battle Scars that affect or remove your additional limb will heal in a single week.

Your appendage is capable of bending and squishing in normally-impossible ways. It may fit through any gap that is not water-tight and retain its functionality.

Your extra appendage can stretch to reach an additional 30 feet.

You cannot wear standard human clothes, and using many sorts of vehicles and facilities is difficult.

Your Extra Appendage is incapable of fine object manipulation.

The Technician uses their tools to attach a Thorium Core to an object. The core supercharges the item, increasing its quality dramatically. However, once the core runs dry, the object is rendered less useful than it was before. The core crackles with blue electricity while active.

Exert your Mind and spend a minute to activate. Select a non-Alien Device within arm's reach. You must actively and obviously use standard technical tools such as pliers, a magnifying glass, and a soldering iron to activate this Effect. Cannot be used to improve Armor.

For the next hour, your target receives 3 extra dice to all actions taken with its intended use.

After the Effect ends, any upgraded targets suffer a -3 extra dice dice penalty until they are either repaired or upgraded again.
