(You must actively and obviously be using a IV23 Mapping Geiger counter.)

Iryna pulls out a contraption that looks like a cross between a printing calculator, a Geiger counter, and a TI-82, known to her as the IV-23 Mapping Geiger Counter. She turns it on and sweeps the area, infusing the machine with her own radiation and supercharging its effects. It scans the area and prints out the coordinates as well as any instructions on how to get to the weapon.

Exert your Mind and spend one minute to activate. You must actively and obviously use a IV23 Mapping Geiger counter to activate this Effect.

You have a clear sense of both the distance and direction towards any detected items. You get details of what each detected item is, as if you've glanced at each object.

Even if there are no sources of major environmental contamination or weapons of mass destruction within 50 feet of you, you become aware of the direction the closest one is in, as well as a rough sense of its distance from you.

While this Effect is active, you are at -2 dice to all Actions and cannot Concentrate.

Community Detect Objects Gifts

Louis's introduction to the contracting world being so rife with artifacts has made him question what else may be out there, and curious to find more, he's begun digging into ways to do so. This gift is the harbinger's answer to his request for a way to sate that curiosity.

Exert your Mind and spend two Actions performing the following ritual: Transcribing details about the area into the scanner. You must maintain Concentration while activating this Effect, and it fails if you are interrupted.

You automatically detect all Artifacts and Cursed Objects within 50 feet of you for the next hour. You have a clear sense of both the distance and direction towards any detected items. When you detect objects, instead of learning nothing about them, you may observe each object with all of your senses.

Even while this Effect is not active, if any Artifacts or Cursed Objects come within 50 feet of you, you may roll Perception + Alertness, Difficulty 7 to detect them.

Even if there are no Artifacts or Cursed Objects within 50 feet of you, you become aware of the direction the closest one is in, as well as a rough sense of its distance from you.

While this Effect is active, you are at -2 dice to all Actions and cannot Concentrate.

  • This includes any objects that come into range during activation.

Exert your Mind and spend an Action to activate.

You automatically detect all explosives / volatile chemicals within 50 feet of you for the next ten minutes. You have a clear sense of both the distance and direction towards any detected items. You get details of what each detected item is, as if you've glanced at each object.

Even while this Effect is not active, if any explosives / volatile chemicals come within 50 feet of you, you may roll Perception + Alertness, Difficulty 7 to detect them.

To effectively remove weapons you need to know where they are. The user of this artifact will be able to see through solid matter to find weapons.

Exert your Mind and spend an Action.

You may perceive things within 75 feet of you with perfect clarity as though there were no walls or obstacles blocking your view for the next 30 minutes.

You may perceive through up to 15 feet of material. The Difficulty of all Perception rolls made through a wall are increased by 1 per wall.

  • You can target yourself if you qualify as a valid target by the other requirements.
  • Your target must be within line of sight, or within range of another sense if more fitting for the Gift's flavor.

Exert your Mind and spend an Action. This Effect cannot be used unless You much have a set location in mind, and can not change that location without ending the effect.

You automatically detect all Portals to chosen destination and Roads to chosen destination within 10 miles of you for the next hour. You have a clear sense of both the distance and direction towards any detected items. You do not learn any details about the detected items.

Even if there are no Portals to chosen destination or Roads to chosen destination within 10 miles of you, you become aware of the direction the closest one is in, as well as a rough sense of its distance from you.

The means by which any Portals to chosen destination and Roads to chosen destination are hidden or disguised is made clear to you, as well as how to access them if they are secured. This includes objects secured via the Stash Effect.

  • This includes any objects that come into range during activation.

Exert your Mind and spend one minute.

You automatically detect all objects designed to hurt people, including explosives, weapons, and improvised traps within 50 feet of you for the next hour. You have a clear sense of both the distance and direction towards any detected items. When you detect objects, instead of learning nothing about them, you may observe each object with all of your senses.

  • This includes any objects that come into range during activation.

Stock Detect Objects Gifts

Exert your Mind and spend an Action. You must use up a container of fine powder in order to activate this Effect.

You automatically detect all object that are designed to detect people, including tripwires, security cameras, detection lasers, heat sensors, etc within 50 feet of you for the next hour. You have a clear sense of both the distance and direction towards any detected items. When you detect objects, instead of learning nothing about them, you may observe each object with all of your senses.

  • This includes any objects that come into range during activation.

Exert your Mind and spend an Action.

You automatically detect all illegal materials within 50 feet of you for the next hour. You have a clear sense of both the distance and direction towards any detected items. You do not learn any details about the detected items.
